Code error 2CF7 might be from AA bov ?
My car is a stock car with no mods except for the intercooler, AA bov and an OCC. Last week i was driving back home when the car suddenly gave me a half yellow engine saying reduced power. I turned off the car then turned it back on and the fault is gone...Can that be from the AA bov? but i checked all the piping and clamps and everything looks perfect with no leaks. The falut error is "Throttle valve potentiomenter". Can some one help me with that?
Thanks |

No JB4? Is your car still under warranty?

Stock car no tunes, and no not under warranty, but I passed it by the dealer they said it was only a code error and they removed it, they can't check further because I have modified my car with a charge pipe...that's what they said, but I want to know if any one face the same issue with the AA bov

It shouldn't have anything to do with the bov. Usually those codes can be caused by a loose grey connector on the JB4 or an actual faulty throttle body.

Yeah I'm actually kicking down some kick downs on the car with no problem at all but all of the sudden today it gave me the same error, I stopped aside turned it off then on and it was all fine naw if nothing is happening...I'm out of options what do u think should I take of the bov and try to clean the throttle valve, or I will mess up with it...?

I would check your throttle body output voltages with a multi-meter/scan tool. My buddy had his throttle body go on the CTS-V and had to drive 300miles through the mountains with a max of 16% throttle output. Lets just say he wasn't very happy when he got to Calgary.

All modern TB's have at least two pointometers. From what I remember from the sticky in this sub the N54 has two. If you have any type of scan tool with live data view you can get the info while driving. If not you will have to try and replicate it manually while monitoring each pin on the throttlebody connector.(Going to be difficult unless it is really no longer working). Throttle body will probably be 150-300bucks I bet so confirm it is the issue prior to changing it out. I just wanted to warn you that if you ignore the codes it could lead to a very crappy trip home.
