Been asked to carry out a survey for BMW on current and potential new car for comparison.
Goes on lots about packages, options, pricing, etc and that M models will get blue brake calipers as standard - woo! Looking at an X3 as an option and they have pricing and models, which they don't on their website. Thought it might be of interest... 18d SE - £28,690 18d M - £30,900 20d SE - £30,490 20d SE Edition Premium - £31,235 20d SE Edition Exclusive - £32,815 20d M Sport - £32,815 20d SE Limited Sport Edition - £35,265 30d SE - £34,640 30d M Sport - £36,775 35d M Sport - £40,635 Oddly enough, they show the 30d as 218hp. Hopefully that's a mistake and they didn't show any petrol engine versions. PS Don't ask what all the variants mean, I have no idea! Last edited by G82Dude; 11-23-2010 at 12:41 PM.. |

Yes, I had the survey invite and wasted some time on it, as the X3 is on my short list for the next vehicle. I saw it as a "what's the pain barrier?" marketing exercise. Also followed it up with an email to the "Customer Insight Manager", that sort of says it all.
BTW, the 3.0d SE is 258 bhp and as an auto only, just 3.3mpg down on the 2.0d auto. (Both with the 8-speed box). HighlandPete |
