It's a BMW part. Some came with and some came without. My old '08 335 had it and I took it off. I'm sure if you posted a WTB add you can find one somebody took off their car. Honestly though it probably won't make much difference because Karura is right, the 'noise' is coming mostly from the exhaust.

Sounds like you need to drive it more. That N54 needs some open road.

In all seriousness, looks great. Mine is space gray too.

You all are funny! Getting ready to hit 68000. Too much fun not to drive. Took a good hit trading it for the M4 I must admit though.

Thanks man! Everything in the interior is stock except for the wheel, which is a BMW Performance non-electronic wheel. I picked it up recently from a fellow forum member. It will sound cliche but it does actually transform the way the car feels in the hand - the slightly thinner grip and the grippy texture of the alcantara makes the car feel more nimble and connected. Wasn't expecting that at all!

Hey guys, did any of you have a problem with your car making a squealing noise from the rear and you disengage your handbrake from being parked? When I disengage my handbrake and start rolling out of my driveway, i hear a high pitched squeal for a few seconds then goes away as i begin to drive.

Sounds like your parking brake shoes may be sticking. I'd take it apart and inspect (or have a mechanic do so). if it consistently goes away within a few seconds it may just be a matter of adjustment.

I was thinking the same thing. I also never cleaned the car since I've purchased it mid January due to all the snow and freezing temperatures we've been getting here in NY. I'm hoping maybe the mechanism is just dirty and dry from all the salt and whatnot.

Thanks for your suggestion!

Ash,
If you plan on selling and putting it back to stock, I would be very interested in purchasing some of your mods.

Thanks!
