WOOT woke up to my car on blocks! thx!

i woke up, took a shower and got ready for a midterm im having today... it started off as a normal day until my mom came into my room and said my cars on blocks and some black guys tried to steal my rims... i RANNNN down stairs and found the passenger side on blocks fml i started yelling "wahhh they stole my babbbbyys (brand new19" bbs ch-rs) but my mom came out and told me they were in the house..... apparently my neighbors had heard and called the police, then they called my house and my dad jumped out of bed in his underwear and grabbed his bat and scared the thieves away.. 6 police cars came, a helicopter and 2 sniffing dogs lol.. they blocked off the street for an hour and took most of the thieves shit but i got to keep a couple of things which i took a pic of lol

no damage as far as i can tell but this happened right on my driveway... anyway the goodies:

I'm surprised they had the right socket. I know a 4-way will not work on my e90 so I have to use what I believe is a 20mm or 22mm socket with a torque wrench.

6 cops and a helicopter for someone stealing your wheels, there either on it in toronto, or you have some connections. You can barely get a single cop to come help you in FL even if your actively getting robbed.

What? For the locks? The head on my bolts are 17mm.

Wheel locks won't deter thieves, they just slow them down. As someone mentioned, the bag of sockets were to hammer on to the locks.

The only locks that you can't do this with is the ones with a rotating collar.

Another question...do you have an alarm? If so isn't the alarm supposed to have a motion detector feature which would prevent this kind of thing? My "d" didn't have an alarm so i wouldn't know for sure.

Wheel locks are useless. Always have been. This is why we have insurance.
