The 284s are a major improvement over the current stock wheels. I have to say I like the 286s better than the current sport wheels as well.

Thanks for posting these!

When does the coupe get the LCI treatment?

I may have missed it in this thread, but I didn't see a mention of when the coupe is slated to have the LCI treatment...

I'm looking for a 335 with the new iDrive and the DCT, so no sedan this time...

You may have to wait a long, long time, or move somewhere outside of North America.

Hundreds of years, or less?

Does anyone know? There's been a lot of noise over the DCT, but if it's not coming with the sedan then I'm not sure why there's been excitement over it...

Nice upgrade in some angles but wrong fropm others?

Looks nice, more aggressive but IMHO that hood looks a little too busy.

I think your bang on with the Rim Selection

*The 287 Rims look good in pictures, but when you see it on the car it looks much different, not really feeling the look, better suited to the coupe.

However, the stock 284 Rims are a huge improvement IMO

I'm liking the look of the 286's, what do others think?

It is difficult to see a wheel in isolation - it can look completely different when actually on the car. But as this wheel looks like it is being used with the different front-rear combination tyre option, I would say BMW would have made sure it looked hot on the car.

Agreed. It's definitely a nice change, and looks great on the wagon photos that I've seen thus far. I'm still a huge fan of the 161's as well.......

I love the 161s, I think they will become a BMW classic design. I don't know anyone who doesn't like them

nobody knows. the LCI should come in 2010 for the coupe, but the coupe might still get the updated i-drive and DCT in 2009, just no cosmetic changes.

I'm not so hot on the new wheels, although I don't have many complaints. I think all the wheels looks nice, although I'm not entirely sold on the Style 287 on the 335i Sport Package Sedan. Agree that they are probably better suited to a coupe.

I do have to say (and note that I do NOT own a 3-series) that the MY2008 335i Sedan Sports Package wheels Style 162 are the best looking wheels that BMW has put on a car in over five years, at least in my opinion. I always thought that those particular wheels were the perfect match for the E90. I can see why they want to make a change, as I seem to see those wheels on half the E90's that I see on the road, but, again, they were one of the styles that just seemed to fit the car perfectly. I'm kind of sad that they won't be shipping on the cars anymore.....

I too love those wheels (with the concavity giving it the look of deep dish design).

This plus the busy bumper and hood design has just pushed me over the edge yesterday to get into an '08 335i, which is currently heavily discounted because the dealers want to make room for the '09s.

Not because dealers want to make room, b/c BMWNA wants to make room.

I like the notion of getting into a 2009 335d. With the exception of the lower front bumper and not having 162's as std on the sport package, everything else is fantastic!

Congrats!

Can we start ordering them yet? I've been wanting to put my order in ASAP but my dealer (in Canada) said they haven't had anything yet. I've got the money all ready to go too.

Well, in my opinion, the best looking wheels (by far) are the one's on the facelifted 650i. They're so damn sexy I'm considering putting some on my car.
