Ay , yer not wrong there. After 6000 miles driving it its only worth, (from webuyanycar) £11630. Rip off merchants they are. And i am sure i could get another grand or so on it privately.

But I paid £11,950 in december for it. So if i took em up on the offer, it would have cost me £65 per month or a shade over fifty quid every 1000 miles in depreciation.
Sold privately, at 13k it is pretty much free motoring (200 gallons of petrol, tax and insurance.)

Hmmn .. they seem to be offering glasses guide 'good' condition trade in.

(they are on mine anyway)

Interesting as dealers were offering behind book value a few months ago.

Anyway ... from the numbers I've seen I don't believe that 330i depreciation is much worse than on a 330d.

Seems a good buy if you paid less than £12k. How old is it?

Isn't it strange though that when you're buying, good residual value is always a sales pitch but when trading in, the trademark sucked in lips appear.

Took me a month to get the deal I wanted on my current car and they said at first they wouldn't be able to shift my 24mth old 318se with 10k on the clock. bullshit - they sold it within a week!

Only car we've had that really kept it's value (over 2 years) was my wifes' Mini one-seven which cost us bugger all to change last August as I got a good discount off the original and a hell of a deal on the Cooper as it was pre reg and they needed to shift it.

They're all lying b*******

I've been working the depreciation out on mine and it's a hell of a lot better in years 3 and 4 than it is in years 1 and 2.
