I'll let everyone else run out and buy one, sit back and let you guys figure out the pros and cons of actually owning the car, and then I might get one used in a few years. Buying brand new cars is no longer worth the huge depreciation hit for me. That plus if the front end of the F32 is as F'd up as every other EU-pedestrian-safety RUINED new BMW front end, it's going to take a long-ass time for it to grow on me.

:/

I am not impressed at all with the F30, and am likewise not sold on the F32. This is somewhat concerning, because I have been planning on upgrading to an M4 when they are released. Of course, the tri-turbo in the M might change my mind.

Im planning on adding cars, not selling the current one. By the time im done with this car, itll be worth around $10k (which means itll trade in at like $5k). Id rather de-activate the insurance and keep it around as a weekender/race-build.

Then pick up an E46 M3 and E92 M3 when they are cheaper. Then maybe save up for a real car (think Gallardo). BUT, thats years and years away haha

Unhappy

I'm sorry. The front of that car is way too busy. I think it's ugly, along with the rear. The interior is somewhat O.K. What is BMW doing? They are trying too hard to make their cars look good, that their ruining them. A BMW should have that classy, yet sporty look that makes these cars age gracefully. Please Bmw, go back and do what you do best, make " The Ultimate Driving Machine. " PLEASE.

WOW, if I were not on these boards in 2005/6 when the e9x came out, I would start thinking that I was the only one that believes the F32 is BEAUTIFUL inside and out.

Then I realized that the same stuff was going on when BMW released the E90 and 92 (and 91).

E92 looks sooooo outdated next to the F32.
This will ge a great seller for the BMW.

I do like the look of the f32 but I like the e92 even more. I probably wouldn't swap an e92 for an f32 until after a long time since I plan to buy a 335i within the coming few months.

I hated the e92 when it came out... Was too attached too the e36.
But i am now in an e92... HAH and i do love it.

But i doubt i would get another 3 series. I will be holding on to this 335i till i can afford bigg and better things.

Waiting to see what the m4 brings to the table. Keeping my e92 for sure though. Thinking of doing European delivery for an m4 quite honestly if everything looks right.

I'm exactly like you, besides the junk I drove in college, there are now 3 cars in my household, all purchased new. Each one cost more than the last. I would never make multiple lateral moves, I just can't even imagine how much money that is, to get the same thing.

I now sit and wait for a Carrera 4S. No pressure, if it takes 3 years, so be it, 7 years, so be it, never? That's how the cookie crumbles. Wifey wants a new house, but what's good is our incomes are about the same. Her car cost almost 50k, more than my 335i. But we split it down the middle so it's so easy to afford.

My 335i is starting to become more and more of my daily driver, but I still drive my 1998 Nissan. It's ridiculous, you cannot break it. Original clutch at 220k. I bought the 335i for over 44k, which was a lot in 2006 (try to get a 4 cyl. BMW for that today, try), I'm not giving it up for 17k. I'll keep it.

Like most are say, I'm going to pass on the F30/F32 generation. Looks too busy and feels very cheap on the inside.

The one thing that caught my eye about BMW is their classic simplicity. The new generation looks like it's trying too hard to be honest. Too many swoops and curves do not age gracefully... (like on a women with a nice ass).

I'm perfectly happy with my e92.

Hopefully they tone the f30/f32 down. Less is more. The front of these cars are ugly.

The car looks stunning, usually I'm not surprised by newer releases- but this one is done just right.

It's going to be a big hit.

Nope... in fact, I'll be looking to move from my '06 E90 into a used '12 - '13 E92 when the time comes, rather than downgrading to the F30/32. I honestly think the F30/32 are among the ugliest cars BMW has ever produced.

My 335 was the first BMW and I very much enjoy it. However the front of this one doesn't appeal to me at all, it looks like a big mouth. Hopefully they tone it down. I was planning on a 2013 M3 when my CPO is over in May of 15'. We'll have to see what the M4 offers.

Quick note, my car has been having some work done to it lately (squeaking belts) and i've been given a 13' 328, it has some pep but the steering isn't even close to my 335. Its hard to describe but it doesn't feel nearly a tight or as if i'm in as much control. Also its huge compared to my coupe, then again it is a sedan. Very comfortable and quiet though, but then again thats not why i bought my car.

am I the only one who thinks the new head light on the f30/32 looks ugly? I absolutely loved the e92 head light when it first came out 06-09 then in 2010 they added an eyelid, which is only semi retarded because the headlight still looks pretty much the same. The only thing I like about the f32 is the tail lights and that's it
