18" or 19" for non-sport?

i know the consensus seems to be lowering (upgrade shocks/springs) before getting new wheels/tires. but i absolutely must get rid of the stock 16s i've got on right now (feel like a soccer mom riding around in those )

someone mentioned just getting H&R springs for the drop is one option, but cash is tight at the moment and likely will not happen till early next year.

so would 18s or 19s be a better fit aesthetically without doing any drop for the time being? Which would look less awkward? thanks guys for any input..
