sub with idrive

i got a 10w7 with a 500/1v2 and i was wondering if it is a lot harder to hook it up to a car with idrive?

and is it worth it for me and a friend with some experiance to hook it up by ourselves, or should i jus take it to an audio shop?

I'm curious about this too since I'll be upgrading soon. Although, I was lookin at the 12w6 with the same amp.

(FYI, 335xi sedan with L7 and iDrive here)

no its fairly easy. i have had no car audio/video install experience and i was able to install it. everything is pretty much done inside the trunk unless you need to run a line to the cabin of the car for a bass boost controller.
