Why not just go to a another BMW dealer have it repaired first, then bitch.

BMW dealers are notorious for bad service people, here in Chicago we have 13 dealers, maybe 3 are decent. Just remember, dealers are basically run by people that didnt finish high school...

How big was the check for this to die?

The way I see it, you guys all backed and supported me on this. The least I owe you for your time is a proper and unbiased follow up.

I'm on here for the same reason everyone else is - to share information.. and when this situation concludes, that's exactly what I'm gonna do.

Wow. Reading this thread makes me appreciate my dealership so much more. I've had nothing but horrible problems with my 335i and they've been accommodating every single time. I think I must have taken my car in 11 times for problems including 3x for the HPFP and they were proactive in helping me and never once refusing a repair. It's no wonder they are rated so highly and I just happened to go to them bc their price was the most competitive.

Anyway, good luck with your issue. I know the feeling. I had the steering go out on my G35S once while going about 85mph. That was unbelievable scary. When I brought it up to the Infiniti dealership, they said it was not a replicable problem so they couldn't help me.

i agree with doggie. I had some minor hiccups with my 330 initially and my dealer (Murray BMW in Denver) was awesome. The SA and lead tech are terrific guys. Makes you appreciate a good dealership when you find one. If i buy another BMW, i'll definitely go to them.

I've had great service from my service adviser and dealership (Tom Murtha at Sonnen BMW in San Rafael, north of San Francisco). It's been almost 4 years.

Nothing wrong ever happened to other windows before I replaced the winshield, and I even let the local shop double checked my sunroof and door side windows, there shouldnt be anything wrong, so i guess the dealer was just trying to denied what they have not done properly with the winshield which perhaps caused the water leaked in my car ..
Those guys are hard to deal with. Put the scanner on the car before going over. They have gotten better but I would only give them warranty work.

Sorry about your experience there .. that truly does suck .. but I have had nothing but a positive experience there ... that is just so odd. My service adviser is awesome.

Until then, still waiting...
OP... many on here are following what happens to you very closely. Thats why we ping you now and then. Hats off to you for taking a stand... and look forward to your next update.

Good read!!! Hope everything works out for you, glad to see your not backing down. I guess i am lucky my dealer worked with me and BMWNA to cover problems with my car outside of CPO I only have good things to say about them.

I've been following this thread since day 1. I'm happy to not have to deal with a group like that. People buy these cars since they are a joy to own...having to put up with mismanagement, fraud, and threats are HUGE reasons to say fuck it and buy from a reputable group or brand even. My dealership was bought out by autonation (i believe) and although some of their mechanics changed( my friends dad lost his job) the quality of service did not change what so ever. My mother is looking into a couple cars and I recommended she go to the same sales guy I went to. I had a good experience and IMO nothing will lead another person to buy a car more than word of mouth.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and good luck.

There are many of us periodically checking up with this thread. If the OP is posting all the facts and has not left out any material information, then there will be some of us, even those of us loyal to BMW, who may now consider a different brand, regardless of the outcome. The fact that it has taken this long to get where it is (particularly without resolution) is enough to be absolutely inexcusable.

I see that BMW NA is a registered member here and has already posted. It would be a good idea for them to do the right thing and then apologize in this thread.
