Bump for a good radar detector. Good price too. Bought my radar(blue display) used on eBay for $180. The range is really far and has save me many speeding tickets. GLWS!

Thanks buddy. It's saved me quite a few times and pays for itself once you avoid the FIRST ticket! LOL

From what I've read...the distance is pretty much the same. The 9500's have GPS which is pretty cool...so it saves certain bands. So if you always past the same bank everyday...and the radar goes off...the 9500 allows you to save the band so it won't have your radar beep.

does the FCC ID number end in M4? If so it is the newer M4 horn which has greater straight on range than the earlier X50's that had the S7 horns. Either way a 9500i will have better detection due to better software even though it has the same M4 horn

so it's an older X50 (circa 2006?) with the S7 horn which has greater "off axis" detection than the newer M4's. might be something someone would be interested in if they lived in a hilly, curvy area. There are some enthusiasts who might be willing to fork over some green for a detector that is not made anymore and is fairly rare.

Either way good price for a solid detector that has had recent service. *thumbs up*

Honestly...I was thinking circa 2008...but you are killing me with details.

I have no idea what the S7 or M4 is...or what it does LOL.

It's an 8500 X50 (which is still made)...it's just not new. Were there any changes between when it was made and now - maybe...I just wouldn't be able to say as I have no idea.

I just want this gone as it's taking up space on my desk...
