If that is too loud I would just put two resonators on the Y pipe and take out the other.

I have seen this on evos before. In fact buschur racing has an exhaust for the X that gave me the idea.

I was trying to decide which battery to get braille but I don't want to get one that is too small and wont run all of my electronics in the car.
Yea i'll be running straights this summer it looks like. Neighbors are gonna love that.

Like I said, from everything i've heard the 21lb is adequate for our cars, and mine is iDrive equipped and such so i'm not too worried.

I probably wont go less than that then.

I want to go straight pipe on mine with a resonator and hopefully it gives it a nice rumble but not excessively loud..

I'd look into a nice Borla resonator, they give a fantastic tone i've heard.

I noticed a big difference in my butt dyno when I went to Arc-8's. I shaved off some good weight, forget exactly how much now. I am running a square 235/40-18 on the 18x8.5 rims (during the summer). I wanted to get Conti DW's but they were impossible to find last spring. Went with Hankooks instead.

Let me know how the sound turns out. Coming from the Evo scene everyone recommended a Magnaflow resonator for a good rumble. Lol but we don't have a turbo as an exhaust restriction.

Gavin how much was the trunk? Just to get a price on weight saved vs cost.

Patsfan how do you like the 18's? I have thought about going to an 18" rim but I feel like I would have issues when I buy my coilovers since they will drop it 1" minimum.

I love the 18's. They look nice and big and definitely look 'premium'. The overall diameter is about the same and it is only 10mm wider so lowering would be little different than on stock. I am putting on a new, lowered suspension in the next few weeks.

Not a fan of 19's because i think the tire is too low profile on the rims. Definitely don't worry about potholes as much with a smaller rim.

Heck yea! I'm having a tough time deciding between CF hood and trunk vs. the ARC-8's...both are on the list of course I just can't decide which. The project is sort of at a standstill right now simply because I don't know exactly the order that I want to procede. I will surely get there. Don't mind being a gutted test mule hahaha.

That's a good looking trunk. Hmm.. i would say 30ish lbs total. But that's just a complete shot in the dark!

Honestly, I would do this first, as this can contribute to more than a weight saving. You would have lowered the center of gravity by removing the offsetting weight of the roof. I could imagine the roof weighs a crap load, and removal would result in increased nimbleness.

Is our roof removable or would this need to be fabricated?

So true, not only does the roof weigh alot, but think about all the glass and mechanisms for the sunroof! I'd guess it would not only be a savings of around 100lbs, but to lower the center of gravity that much would do wonders for the already fine-tuned balance of the e90. I have no idea whether our roof is removable or not. It sure would make things alot easier if it was.

*le sigh* I am at work and subsequently can't see your video. I'll check it when I get home though, looking forward to hearing it!

Also, thank you kindly! I don't have any on hand, but I posted a couple pictures in a thread earlier this week. I shall dig it up.
