New engine

Just won't to ask if a car has had a new engine dose any one need to know if it's the same size engine being put in need any serial number or shit???

The V5 would need to be updated with the new engine number, in terms of insurance companies etc then no, assuming its the exact same engine going in.

You'll also want to put the injector codings from the new engine into the ECU, and reset the various ECU adaptions, but it'll run fine without that.
