Sorry to hear that.

Your wheels are harder to put right than mine.

Getting any success with your claim?

The latest update to the never ending saga that is my life and shoddy workmanship happened today.

I got the £160 off the garage that damaged my wheels and paid for the other 2 to be done.

I love my wheels and had the previously refurbished to a high standard and expected the very same again.

They were done by a different company but I did request that the wheels were done the very same standard colour.

Picked the car up this evening and they are a mess.

From a distance the wheels aren't remotely the same shade of silver and once within 10 yards the orange peel is horrendous.

The colour difference doesn't look as bad taken from my phone, but I can assure you they are now miles darker.

Now

Before

Here is the worst bit, look at the finish.

Orange peel/blotch city

Totally fuming yet again.

You can see as by the pictures on page one and any previous picture I've posted, the wheels were done very well before and my favourite feature.

I haven't paid for them but have to take more time off work to get them done right.

Judging by how bad they are, I wonder if they are capable.

On a separate note the new tyres feel great but this is another sicking mess up for me again.

I'm too scared to look.

Everytime I look I see more and more faults.

Various dirt trapped under the surface on 3 wheels after a 2min glance.

I could and have done better doing it myself in the garage. Shocking finish and not surprised your fuming.

Good grief. Looks almost like they used Hammerite.

I kerbed an alloy a few years ago, and had them repaired. A top guy working out of Glasgow - had a thread about it.

Can't even remember which wheel it was now, so you can perfectly reasonably expect a better job than that.

Then you have more and more evidence to get them re-painted.

Never good to hear stuff like this.

You couldn't PM me the details, so I can steer clear?

I just had my summers put on a new set of 19's by "Aberdeen Tyres" just a small place that works out of Torry but they were extremely helpful and did a good job imo. No damage at all.

They will be fine mate. Diamond cut looks stunning. Don't worry.

Kerr. What the hell. Sorry to hear of this. Can definitely understand your pain. Is there anyway to find out who all the local businesses use to do quality work? For example down here almost all the dealers use a company called Wheel Works. They are fantastic. If you could find who it is near you, could well be worth it.

I'm utterly sick of the workmanship in this country.

The amount of failures I see every day at work and what happens when I need work done, people need shot.

I hope your repair went better Carl?

Gave the car a quick wash today and I

can see more faults.

The reason they got refurbished again was the tyre fitter had taken chunks out of 2 wheels.

They've not even dressed this one in.

Every last thing about the job just cries out sloppy lazy workmanship.

Sorry to hear of your woes mate. Hope you get it sorted without any hassle.

Matt
I've started doing that.. My local Wheel Specialist is only a mile down the road so Ive started going there to fit tyres.

They're not the cheapest but at least they don't get damaged. The actually understand that people care about their wheels.

Years back I went for tyres fitting and they marked the wheel when they were trying to rip off the old weights (on the inside) when i picked them up on it they looked at me like i was crazy.

hmmm feel for you. I have the same wheels on my 335i coupe, i liked the design so much, that i decided when looking for a car that i would only look at one's with these 19's on, they make the car imo.
Im quite nervous of the time when i need new rubber now !

edit.........what is the name of these wheels?
