Great thread. I've always been a Ford guy - love Mustangs, F150s, etc. The new Fusion is gorgeous. I also love their influence on the premium group brands before they sold them off to Tata (they took Land Rover to the next level IMHO).
If I were at sea level, I'd drive a Boss 302 in a heartbeat, but at 6,500ft you really need forced induction of some sort. Plus, how can you beat the all around benefits of a 335 for the price, particularly with a simple tune? One of the best all around cars for performance, comfort, luxury, room, etc, etc. -Rich |

LOL I don't think I've ever seen an old lady in a 335. 328 on the other hand, always!

I was really close to pulling the trigger on the Mustang when the 5.0 came back. Friend is sales manager at the local Ford dealership and I got to spend the afternoon with a 5.0, 6-SPD.
They push all the right buttons, I mean all of them, Braking, handling, power and for the love of GOD that NOISE!!! Loved it. So much better than the Camaro in terms of driving as well. What stopped me? Mostly it came down to over all better car. NOT faster, but day to day the BMW is a better blend of "Does Everything Well" and then you look at the resale. That's when I decided I'd have another BMW, DESPITE the Roundel and all the asshatery that can go with it, it's just a better value to me... But I still love the Mustang though $42K for a nicely optioned one is a little too steep for me. Also had an E550 coupe for awhile and it was a hard decision giving up that V8. Despite it's weight, it made those wonderful V8 noises and didn't have a bunch of douchebag stereotype attached to it. Never caught a middle finger, nothing. Just left alone. The BMW image is kinda tattered and a huge number of BMW owners don't do anything to improve it. BMW itself keep going backwards as well, every generation more bloated and compromised than the one before. E46 to E90 weight gain, interior more plebeian, Lexus crowd buying them. More of the same coming with the F30 and the 4 series? I was afraid enough of this to Dump a 2011 370Z at a loss and order another E92 just in case...
