9.07s 60-130mph? Maybe a new stock turbo record?

Finally got my hands on a vbox and did some runs tonight in Mexico. Cool device but takes some time to figure out how to review data. Good news is that I *think* I broke the all-time stock turbo (no nitrous) record on my first pass

I have a 2007 6at with 52,000 miles on the odo. And I'm running Map4 on the newest Stg3 Aggressive procede beta maps at the default settings (65% boost/100% IC on map 2). Shifting with the paddles at 6000RPM. Starting to accelerate in 3rd gear around 40mph. Then upshifting twice at 6000rpm.

I did 3 back to back runs. All recorded in the same log file. My times were 9.07, 9.19 and 9.30. I guess even meth cars aren't totally immune to heatsoak! Each run had a decline of less than the 3% max allowed. I'll email the vbox file to Mr.5 for verification and to double-check my math. Still running full weight (although I have a carbon fiber trunk lid). I think I can break into the 8s if I did some basic weight reduction (seats out!). I have a procede datalog of a 8.9s 60-130mph run but it turned out that the decline was -3.5% I've attached both the vbox log and the procede datalog if anyone wants to look them over.

The biggest difference with these new maps compared to the previous maps is that boost is lower (17-19psi peak dropping to 14-15psi by 6000rpm) and power between 5000-6000rpm is ridiculous! Low end torque is amazing too. When I was starting the run in 3rd gear at around 40mph, I would even get serious wheelspin that sometimes lasted until past 60mph . I think just going with some stickier rubber would help. Oh and it was a nice cool night mid 50s.

List of upgrades:
Procede rev.3
Vishnu PWM Meth (80/20). Also added 2 gallons of 100oct to 2 gallons of 91.
AA catless dp
Vishnu cat-back (but added high flow secondary cats)
Helix FMIC
Vishnu DCI
Forge DVs

That's looking real good!

So stock turbos only about one second slower than the Rob Beck turbo times?

Didn't Dzenno post a low 8 secs pass recently?

1 second at steady 130 MPH would be 190ft, i.e. bus lengths. However, the time is really good for stock turbos it being a stock turbo record at a slim margin.

Amazing results for stockers. Get you some RB turbos

Edit: more like a 50ft win.

Your car is stupid fast SIKH. Congrats on the new record. Your faster than a Ferrari F430 and almost as fast as a Corvette Z06
I got to get a ride in that thing soon. My clutch is slipping pretty bad, so no 60-130's for me until I get it replaced. Seeing this makes me want to go FBO even more.

Thanks guys I was surprised what stock turbos could do. Also keep in mind I have high flow secondary cats in place. A .9 second lower time is good no doubt but it's also with another $4000-$5000 in upgraded snails.

I've never used the virtual dyno. Are uou using the right gear in the calculations? The datalog shows a 3-4-5 run, not a 2-3-4 run.

That said, it does appear that a 6MT is a bit better suited for 60-130runs than the 6AT since it only needs to do one shift to hit 130mph while still being in the powerband. And with a 6MT+upgraded turbo you will be making good power all the way to redline AND require 1 less shift AND get a torque multiplying gearing advantage towards the end of the run (4th vs 5th gear). That said, I'd be curious to compare this run to Dzenno's from 60 to ~120mph (ie, just before sikh335 upshifts into 5th).

That aside, i think there this car is capable of high 8s with a bit more prep. Maybe some basic weight reduction and lighter wheels/tires would do the trick. Would even be worth going down to (or maybe under) sea level. I don't think the slight altitude here is having too much of an effect. But at this point, every hundredth of a second counts I suppose

Shiv

ps. sihk335 is running the 10-18 Stg 3 Aggressive v5 maps at the default settings. Same map that I emailed out to you and several others earlier this week. I've been getting a lot of datalogs emailed to me from beta testers. I'll try to post a bunch up later today. Looks like they are working well across the board.

I can't even imagine what a 3.46s feels like. Take a 520whp 6MT 335 with basic lightening mods that runs mid 7s which is ridiculous as it is. And then cut that time in half

OP has different tire diameter, so with the right diameter should be close to actual. Downhill helps of course.

I know… need to test my meth flow first, before loading these monsters. Due to my slightly higher elevation, I’m going to knock boost down a little and add maybe a deg more retard in the mid-range. I’m always very conservative. but really looking forward to it, and saying a little prayer for my clutch.

The OPs trims and AFR look great!
