Well I don't have one Platinum Bronze E90... My family has two! :

I took the top photo when I came home from college for a break. My sister got the color a few months ago and I really liked it so I went out and got myself one! It was between PB and Monaco blue, but the Monaco looks too close to black and the Florida heat would kill it. The middle one is mine. The closest one is my sisters, she has the base car with auto only, while I have the ZPP. The Merc is my dad's car. Yes we like German cars, hehe.

Here are some pictures of mine:

Great color and it's a lot easier to keep clean than black or blue.

IMHO, Platinum Bronze just screams "status" and good taste. When I see someone driving a PB E93 I assume that guy has money, and probably a hot trophy wife too.
But then again I generally just seek out mothers in minivans to race in my boy-racer blue antique M3, preferably in school zones.

You'd probably get more action if you sought out the hot trophy wife driving rich hubby's car, don't cha think?

Just mounted my new wheels/tires yesterday. Wheels are nothing too special but they look pretty good on the car. No sunshine.. gray day... typical southern Oregon winter day.

Front = BBS CH, 18x8.5, et35, 235/40-18 Bridgestone RE760 Sport

Rear = BBS CH, 18x10, et40, 265/35-18 Bridgestone RE760 Sport

No spacers used and car has OE Sport suspension.

Thanks to Gary at TR for the assist.

Jay

Pictures don't do it justice. I have Platinum Bronze with saddle brown, and the most common comments I get on my car is " Love that color! " and " Classy ". Sure is a lot easier to keep clean than my old black one. I'm willing to bet that most of the posters who don't like this color haven't seen it in person. The color really does change throughout the day. It looks like silvery platinum in the sun, and golden bronze in the evening. Hence the name, I suppose.

I have the same combo and with shadowline trim. I wanted to confirm that the color really does vary depending on the lighting.

LMAO. I love the fact that the first post is "I hate this color" in a post that's mainly about the color...
