Improper Muffler Ticket Advice?

I recently got an improper muffler ticket (I deleted my mufflers), any suggestions on how to fight it?

And secondly, any suggestions on mufflers I can get for 2011 E92 335i? I don't really want to put on the stock mufflers and go back to being quiet sounding.

Any feedback is appreciated

hey do you still need advice?

I can give you free "information" not legal advice because im not your lawyer

1 - request disclosure

2 - request more disclosure

3 - try negotiating with Crown

4 - take it to trial and wing it

5 - tell me how it goes?

if you need help at an stage let me know

PS thanks for the JB4 homie

Depending on the regulation in your province, it might specifically say it's forbidden to modify the exhaust system if it makes it louder or pollute more. I wouldnt fight it and pay the ticket, at least he didnt give you a 48hrs compliance request to get the car to a mechanical verified, which basicaly means put mufflers back.

^Agree with above. Just put PE and be safe. Just my 2c, but just a friendly reminder that from this summer of 2016 (I believe from June) we will have a NEW highway traffic act and it's more strict with mods and mufflers etc. It's better to play safe and go OEM PE rather than get stripped $$$ every time.

Drive a friends bmw into a muffler shop like Midas (something well known)
Tell them you got a ticket for improper muffler have them inspect and confirm it is all stock. Make sure it says it is OEM, Etc.

Take the invoice home, scan and change the VIN# plate# ETC. to match your info.
Take into crown and say my car is all legit.
Walk away and buy coffee and smile.

That's a serious fraud & criminal offence if you get caught though... Not worth it just to try and get your way out of a ticket.

Not worth the risk. I mean some cheapo improper muffler ticket is nothing compared to what hell you will go through for defrauding court - you'll be sorry you were born. Stupidest advise I've ever heard, besides tricks/lies like that have a huge red flag taped on them - it's a high-school level lies at best.

Original muffler can be cut open and modified to be a PE. Do that, put it on the car. Take photos. Go see the crown and say it's all fixed. No lies no tix and you get a free PE!
