bought a 2007 335i 5 months ago for 21000. Only 32000 miles. Fully loaded, I was fortunate that the lady I bought it from just wanted to get her selling process over with. Two months after driving I get the transmission pan leak/ sleeve seal. Changed both things for about 300 dollars including the fluid (did it myself, it was a PITA). Anyhow so far that's the only thing that's gone wrong. It's a great car, if you're handy maintaining it wont be so bad, on the other hand taking it to the dealership can cost an arm and a leg.

I'd say if it is a well taken care of car and a responsible driver that you should be good to go with a proper pre-purchase inspection. The price seems reasonable to me and just a little less than what I'd put mine on the market for as is.

He emailed with some update on recent maintenance and upcoming maintenance. Says no issues with fuel pump and had not heard of any problem:
The right front tire and the right rear tire were both replaced on 3-12-12. The left rear tire was replaced on 6-20-12. The battery was replaced on 10-20-12. Next maintenance for oil, air filter and brake fluid change is December. Other maintenance items are well down the road... rear brake pads in 6K more miles, front brake pads at 15K more miles, spark plugs at 15K more miles, and vehicle check on 12-20-13. |

My honest advise:
Without warranty I wouldn't touch it. Maybe for free but wait, NO, I wouldn't touch it. This car WILL break, no doubt about it. You either get one with a warranty or prepare to spend some coins on repair. Whatever works for you. Otherwise get 328. In my opinion 335 is overpowered in everyday driving and you can't take full advantage. |

Yes, there's a special extended warranty on the HPFP. It's like 8yrs/100,000 miles.

Lol. A lot people on here want to get a 335i for close to nothing.
Unless that car has been in any accident, I think the price is definitely FAIR for the LOW miles and the options. Like everyone said...if you can find a way to get the car under some type of warranty, I think you'll be okay. And as others have said, don't worry too much about HPFP issues b/c I remember hearing from members with almost brand new cars having HPFP problems. My point is, if it's going to happen it's going to happen, whether you have a car that is 5 years old or a car that is 6 months old. It's still under warranty.

Not possible there is such a thing as not enough tire, or suspension...
Actually I will say this, I drove the car about 150 miles today for the first time after changing to the Cobb "linear throttle" map and I actually find it more pleasant tooling around town with the less agressive throttle. |

however if i wasnt tired of the car I'd get the maint done and drive it, when a buyer comes along they wont see red warnings on the dash and they would need to meet a number i wanted. ppp

the brake fluid change. which i find strange... the fluid absorbs water and is recommended to be changed every 2 years. no idea whats involved. yet my new car doesnt require brake fluid changes every 2 years... i think it doesnt even require them at all. anyways good luck with it ! ppp
