Limp mode with out symbol!!!?? help

So I gave the car a little gas and a pop sound happened and then all the power was gone... Like a limp mode... But nothing on the dash lit up... I just put on the riss racing DDV kit and Im not sure if its a boost leak that caused this but there is no boost what so ever and there is no symbols on the dash... Any ideas out there?

I would think that one of the clamps on the charge pipe wasn't fastened securely!

sure sounds like a serious boost leak, check your connections.

I read somewhere an OP describe the same noise and they had the OEM charge pipe and not your Riss ones and it had that "popping sound" you heard...

So basically your throttle body connection to your charge pipe became your blow off location

What is the advantage of Riss setup and their DV compared to OEM and forge DVs...In my opinion I think the OEM connection of the charge pipe is much better than the clamps because of all the oil residue will eventually make those clamps slippery and eventually slide off the charge pipe..

As I recall, the OP has the V3. If so, that should prevent overboost codes in the DME by tripping to valet mode. If the current maps are used, a error code would have been recordeed there until the ignition was switched. But that may explain why the DME didn't set a code.

If you guys don't mind me asking very very stupid question, could you tell me what exactly "limp mode" means?

After I GBed JB3, I'm reading a lot of piggy back mods and I hear a lot of "limp mode" from there. Please be generous and teach me what it is.

Thanks in advance.

well hers what happened.... One of the clamps they included is too big... therefor it wont clamp down tight enough of the throttle body! I would expect more from Riss Racing... The 3 other clamps are the right size but the one on the throttle body side is too big... Now I have to go pick up a smaller clamp...
