Yeah, its in my head now as the car just came back from the dealer after 3 weeks with a new vvt and DME, covered with warranty but it would have been a big bill, there is the endless debate with Dinan and others but the warranty issue struck home today, I may just spend the $2K and put the worry to bed.

My engine light came on as well.... so far it has been at the dealer for 3 weeks, changed the VVT motor, didn't fix the problem, ordered a new DME from Germany, the unit arrived but I probably won't get the car back until next week...very frustrating, purchased the car in Nov. 2011.

What is the real cause of the engine light in your case? Are they not able fix the problem and make the yellow engine light go away?

So far, after a week, the yellow engine light has not come back. I really hope it was just the fuel cap being not tightened enough as the service guy said, and not something else.

I can't say for sure, I have the car back with a new DME and VVT motor they seem to have corrected the issue for now....

Hey guys go and see my thread in the general section about the problems I had with the loaner X1 they gave me....

Really I can't trust BMWs anymore....

hey all i just bought black kidney grills from the dealer and they're on sale for $50/ea, pretty good price. If anyone needs a chrome grill let me know I have a left and a right sittin here

Trunk lip spoiler I ordered from J Levi arrived up last week. Installed it today and I think it complements the rest of the car well. Paint matching is excellent as well.

Will post another pic soon.

I bought a pair of BMS 4 LED H8 angel eyes from http://www.burgertuning.com/BMW_LED_angel_eyes.html. I read the installation guide, it looks so easy in it. But when I started the job, I can't even reach the bub by my big hand... How did you guys replace them? I saw some nice pics in this thread and so jealous...

haha got mine on about 4 weeks ago too

On another note, I am getting an airbag light coming on always. Also the seatbelt light appears too (but no ringing thank god)

The dealer said it would take them a day to fix, anyone have a similar problem?
