December/January Mountain Drive?

Let's make a decision Friday afternoon/evening. If we don't do a drive maybe we could get together for lunch, drop by Topspeed or maybe even hit Andretti's.
I've taken the 3 out on the roads around me (secondary and highway) and they are good for getting somewhere, but no aggressiveness.

Well right now I can't even get out of my meighborhood. I haven't been at work for the last 4 days. I was working from home. Tomorrow will be the first day that I get out of my house. Talking about cabin fever. I need to get the hell out of the house.

I am with you on that. To be honest, I don't think this saturday is the best time to do this drive...unfortunately

Saturday is not going to be possible for a drive. Too much ice on well traveled roads still. Now add in higher elevation and little traffic = car off into a bank or ravine.

And these Continentals suck on any frozen stuff. Car was getting crazy today on little patches. And now it is very dirty.

really looking forward to a drive. What say everyone on a get together for lunch....Mexican (plenty of places to choose from

but there is a La Parilla right of 575 N and Hwy 20. I gotta "hall pass" for the day so anywhere is kosher.

There is also one on Towne Lake Parkway. And it happens to be only 5 minutes from my house.

Or Monterrey on Hwy 92. Not like their food is great but I swear they put grain alcohol in their margaritas.

Walter, are you training Saturday? Need to get the parts to you. And I have a small bonus for you as consolation for the loss of the Helix IC. Not much, just something little.

I agree that the drive is too risky at this point. The roads I can see are still pretty icy, except for I-75. I've been stuck in my dorm room all week with nothing but my lap top and throwing ice at people to entertain me, so I'm down for any kind of meet on Saturday.

I went out on the highway today, and while most of it is dry almost every surface road still had quite a bit of half melted ice everywhere. And an ice patch in the center of my lane on I-85 nearly turned my bumper into a high speed snow plow. So wherever we go we all still need to be careful.... and my car's 20 times dirtier now

, how about those that are going to head out tomorrow chime in on where they'd like to meet. Sounds like there are a couple of us from the Canton area and the rest scattered around from Woodstock to Smyrna.
I say we meet around noon grab a burrito and rita or meet for a mini drive then burritos and beer.
Too bad the Falcons aren't playing until 8pm

Walter is tentatively planning on coming by my place tomorrow and he will be in Woodstock. So anywhere in the area is fine. Heck, even Taco Mac on Hwy 92 might be good, more room and many tables. If so, does 2:00 PM work?

And where is Jamie? I need to get the oil and filter to her. Walter, you want it and can barter with Jamie.
