Hey guys! I just swapped my non-zsp seats for zsp seats. I had the heated seats, power and power lumbar. The zsp seats had heated seats, power, power and lumbar and power side bolsters. After the swap, all the functions work on both cars!

Tool that you will need for this project.

1. T-45 Torx
2. 10mm wrench (to remove the negative terminal on the battery)
3. Another person to help put the seats back in (If you don't want to scratch up the interior).

And that's it.

1. Remove the 4 torx screws on the rails of the seat. Well, I only took pictures of 3 of the torx screws. LOL! But you get the picture.







2. Remove the black plastic cover to get to the torx screw that is attaching the seat belt to the seat. Remove the piece from the back, it comes out really easily.



3. Remove the torx screw.



4. Once you have all the torx screws removed (5 including the one for the seat belt). Go to the trunk of your car and take off the negative wire from the battery (You must do this in order to not throw a code when you start the car). I didn't take pics, since I'm sure everyone knows how to remove the wire from the battery.

5. Look under the seat for a yellow plug. On the plug, there is a black plastic piece. Just slide/pull the black plastic piece towards the passenger side (if you're starting with the driver's side) and remove the plug. Once the plug is removed, then you can take out the seat. To make it easier, first remove both head rest.



After your done with the swap, you just put the seat back in the car and plug the yellow plug back in. Once you have done that for the driver's side and passenger side, then put the negative wire back on the battery and test everything. And if everything works, just bolt everything back and you're done.

Not sure if I understand your question. Once the bolts have been tightened, they are tight. The seats do not move at all, unless you use the power features. As long as you make sure to tighten all the bolts, I don't think you'll have any problems.

nice DIY, how much are a sport seat and how did you get your hands on them with the color of your choice, Ebay, Tischer, or swap with someone else?

T-50 Torx fits better.

Since I had access to bmwtis.com for a little while and figured out how to use it: 44 Nm (for seat to floor as well as seat belt to front seat). Also note it recommends to replace all the screws w/ new ones.

Pulling off the seat belt cover if I remember correctly from ISTA shows some kind of plastic wedge placed in the center top of the cap just rear of the hole where the belt goes in...

How do I do step 2?! I have tried to pull that cover off to no avail. I lost some coins in there and want to get them out. I see you say to pull from the back... but what type of motion are you using, Up and out? Should I be in the back seat (i have a sedan,) did you use any tools to pry it off?

Any idea on whether this would work putting M3 coupe Novillo leather seats in an E90 sedan? M3 seats are power, and sedan has premium so power seats also.

yes... you can tap into power of the heaters if necessary. BMW dealerships have been doing this conversion for like $200-$250 I've heard.

What if u have no heated seats before and new ones are manual but heated is it still plug and play only the heaters won't work unless u do wiring and stuffing just want to get seats in without faults I'm not bothered about heated seats will they work?

LCI 2010 e90 335i Msport seats to my PRE-LCI 2006 e90 330i Non-Msport seats, both are power, memory and heated. I have a few questions:

* Does my car pre-wire for it? How do I find out?
* Direct swap?
* Would I be able to use the seats (memory/power/heated) from 335I?

Interested to know as well, although my case is a bit different. I have LCI non-sport, electric, heated with memory (no lumbar though).

I am swapping to LCI sport seats, fully equiped (electric, heated, memory, lumbar and bolsters).

So, adding the power lumbar and bolsters, which I didn't have before.

Am I going to need to rewire to be able to tap power for the lumbar/bolsters?
Or is it plug and play and I will be able to use all the functions?
