you can get them from the dealer for $180 now if you bargain.

I liked mine a bit closer to the edge. there is no wrong..like he said up top, it's preference!

Special thanks to the OP, this thread, and of course Tischer BMW for getting me the M3 spoiler. Install was straight forward but man-o-man does that tape grab upon contact.

I had to re-adjust the right-half and it took a good bit of muscle, but it popped up and I was able to dial it in perfectly.

I am very pleased with the results - I went with the traditional M3 fitment - offset by ~1/4" from trunk lip.

Excellent post. I just removed my old e92 spoiler from jlevi (not the m3 replica, but another one that came out around may 2007). Jlevi's was the first to come out for the coupe. While it is not bad, some of the paint was removed during shipping. The painter did not pack it too well. I tried to touch it up, but it did not look too good.

I have wanted the M3 spoiler for a long time but was worried about removal of the jlevi spoiler because of the two rows of tape on it. I got lucky one day after I had the car sitting in the sun all day around 90 degrees. I just pulled up on the corner and it seemed like it moved a little. Put in a little more effort and it came right off. I was shocked. The remaining tape residue came off with goo gone from the auto parts store.

I get my m3 spoiler delivered tomorrow. Will probably mark the trunk in a few places with masking tape to make sure i am putting down in the right area.

keeping it where you want it

Hello all
After you have lined the spoiler/lip up where you want it, use blue painters tape to mark the location, one small piece on the right and left outer edge and another on the middle edge towards the rear window.
You might also measure the sides to make sure you have it dead center.

After installation, is it safe to remove the spoiler without damaging the paint?

Old thread i know!

Very helpful though and encouraging!

My lip is on its way to me now. I am considering using a tiny layer of some lightly soapy water (one or two sprays from a spray bottle) to allow me to manoeuvre the spoiler on the paint, similar to when applying tints etc. Does anyone have any thoughts on that?

Cheers
