Anybody else find the 313's with the low profile tires are really sensitive to road bumps? What used to be annoying bumps are now making me twitch - spring time in calgary with the new construction and raised manhole covers are freaking me out...

Low Coolant Light?

Hi Guys,

Anyone had the Low Coolant Light come on?

This morning, while in Calgary, I started her up at the Hotel cold.

Right away the low coolant light came on. I checked the engine and underneath, no leak.

I drove to husky, turned the vehicle off and got some 50/50 premix prestone.

Started up the car to move it to a more discrete location and the light cleared and went away.

When I parked and opened up the fill tank, the coolant was below the "min" level. Added a very small amount and the fluid appeared between min and max, just as the manual says.

Started it up and everything was fine rest of day, even drove back in + 28C weather from calgary to Edmonton.

Internet forums-Quite common for some reason.

I've had that happen when the car was parked on a pretty non-level surface in a campground. Went away when I restarted it on level ground.

That said, from my reading it seems like it's normal to have to top up the coolant occasionally. I assume there is just some small, slow loss through the venting system over time. On my last 335 I had to do so a few times in the 2 years I had it, though I noticed it before it reached the point where the light came on.

I'd say it's worth checking now and then rather than rely on the sensors. Actually, given some issues with the oil level sensors on a previous 328, I'd say be happy you still have a manual way to check it.........

Classic example of German Overengineering.

What oh why would they make a totally blacked out overfill reservoir? It's not rocket science to have a clear one to do a quick visual check!

Yes everything points to "normal" because of the venting.

I'll keep an eye out but thansk for the reassurance.

I asked this before but didnt get any responses, is anyone planning on TUNING their 335 SE?

What are the thoughts on the DINAN tune and if you get it, would get the DINAN tag on the trunk lid?

JB4 + Downpipe >> After warranty is done

Suspension + Sway Bars >> After my finance term is done

I have really been pushing my car and I couldn't imagine having more torque and power. 5000rpm and beyond, the car turns into a completely new animal.

It snores/gurgles/burbles while city driving and on the highway its awake and screaming!

Not until warranty is done and it will be JB4.

I think I'll wait till the end of warranty period - not taking a chance. But, it'd be a JB4 for sure.

I have heard the 400lb of torque with Dinan and the 355ish HPR makes it a different car. But it is the only thing out there for now that "shouldn't" affect warrenty is the DINAN, but that is about 2500.

That's one of the (very minor) things I don't like about the car. The Piano Black is too fragile a finish for a center console.
