Car is home with new manifold

Manifold swap complete. I have the car. I'm at work now. Car runs perfect. Feels WAY different from before. Lovin it. Gonna dyno on wednesday probably.

Special thanks:

Sterling BMW and Autowerks in Huntington Beach.

I honestly have no clue and I really don't think so. Not unless the 328i has the N52 otherwise I'm not exactly sure.

Not True!

It will absolutely work on a 328i. You will just need the manifold and software from either an X3 3.0si, X5 3.0si, or Z4 3.0si.

It will work in the same way.

Less trouble and $$$ to sell ur 328i for a lesser optioned used 335i...

There's a lot more to the X3 3.0si, X5si and Z4si motors than a manifold and a chip

yeah, I know.

The 328i runs an N52N engine... also known as N52KP. Things were done to the 3.0 found in the 325i to make it the 3.0 found in the 328i. These same things were done to the 3.0 found in our 330i and that same engine is now in the X3, X5, and Z4 3.0si models.

So, the 328i engine relates to the 3.0si engine the same way the older 325i engine relates to the older 330i engine.

That is fact.

isn't this like.. a multiple thousands of dollars (>$4?) mod that nets around 50 crank hp?

Or is this conversion much cheaper than I thought?

Altogether. 1900 dollars. That's because I got a refund on my previous software though. The total would have been 2500 altogether with no refund. That's still a pretty good deal.
