Fuel injector cleaner?

What is your opinion/ experience with fuel injector cleaners? Additives, etc
I saw a great YouTube video on manual cleaning of tips. I was thinking about in combination with a fuel additive

I havent used them in probably 10 years. Maybe if I had to use some no name station in Podunk Oklahoma while traveling, but I stick to stations only using top tier gas. http://www.toptiergas.com/licensedbrands/
I know some will say its not the end all but ive never had an issue since.

Thanks guys. Have either of you tried manually cleaning also? I don’t want to risk drying out the orings if I don’t have to. There was a really good diy about cleaning tips but they warned against letting the carb/intake cleaner touch the o-ring.

if your going to remove your injectors to clean you can't reuse the Teflon seals they need to be replaced. They also can't be replaced without the special teflon seal placement tool. Big risk to reuse the same seals.

Agreed.

Don't take them out unless you can replace the seals

Just make sure you change your oil after you burn the gas tank that you put fuel injector cleaner in.

Top Tier gas has additives that clean just as well if not better than most pour-in fuel treatments. They really are not needed anymore with today's fuel technology.

I've had good luck with Techron. Evey now and then my car gets a little funky with smoothness and I put a whole bottle in about 1/2 a tank and get on the skinny pedal hard. Normally resolves any issue. Note that I'm talking rough idle minor issues, not a misfire or anything like that. IMO not a bad idea to run a bottle through now and then.
