signed up for NJMP (both tracks) 4/29-30 with PCA NNJR btw.
It looks like I'll take a 2month break after that one, nothing lines up for a while.

I picked up my car from VAC this morning, they did an awesome job. My car has a more refined ride and is smoother than it's ever been (and I've experienced in any car). Sweet!

Nice, how about if you join us at the track once in a while so we can see what your new suspension can do!

And no, that one event in the drive-through zoo does not count

It's not a real race car, I know. BUT I could not drive a race car on the streets. So an OEM+ BMW w/ upgraded suspension is the way to go!

P.S. I got my stock downpipe back in, so my car is stock power-wise now. I couldn't stand the smell any longer or the excessive cold start noise.

So my car is closer to stock than it has been, but it performs better. As a matter of fact the only significant non-OEM parts on my car are the intercooler, seats, brake ducting, Quaife diff (which is in the stock housing) and dampers/springs. Otherwise all standard parts!

Haha Charles I was just kidding man. Your car was sounding like a beast though?

You know, another really good option is to go with the catless dp and an xdrive stock exhaust. Has the two secondary cats to help with smell and not nearly as loud as your open exhaust.

I thought you had a tune too?

External canisters for the dampers, it helps performance. They kinda look like NOS though.

I know. It has the same exhaust note, just not as loud. I could do the xDrive exhaust I suppose but I heard the secondary cats burn out after a while. I just want something I don't have to worry about and it seems like what I have now is the way to go.

I have the tune still installed but it's disabled (left installed for the CAN tool features).

I posted some pictures of the car and the modest drop in ride height!

Nice CJ. Looking forward to seeing it in person.

To those who went out to NJMP this weekend: What's the report?

I can't wait for my first event May/June!

Happy tracking all.

Awesome event, more details later. My group was apparently a testing ground for the CCA club racers, had lots of fun with that. Some spins, nothing serious. Not much socializing though, everyone was holed up in their cars for the duration of the event, my track data shows temps from 32 to 38F max.

wonho was consistently leading the pack in his group, no GT3 could catch him

A friend of mine at Thunderbolt today said it's starting to snow. BRR!! There's the reason I'm avoiding March track events ... or late Fall anymore for that matter, after the frigid event this past November (driving around at 140mph in my winter coat and defrosting my car in the morning ).

(Realistically, I'm jealous of everyone at the event; I would f*cking go anyway, as a day at the track (except Pocono) beats a day doing nearly anything else).

March is always dicey but it's worth it after the winter hibernation :-)

Drove to the track with heavy snow on the turnpike on Sat.

heated seats saved the day yesterday. And it was the one day that I gladly had my visor down
