The 2010 with M-sport is $57K by comparison... $2k's a lot of money for 22hp!! (but ok you get a few different looking body parts too)
how accurate is your source because that is pretty darn expensive.

that's what bothers me bout the car... at 59K, that's 4 grand more than a brand new stripper e90 M3, and roughly the exact price of a stipper e92 M3...

Well, not exactly. In Canada a stripper E92 M3 costs $71,300.

So the 335is price is roughly 82.7% of the E92 M3 in Canada.

It would cost 111.5% of the E92 335i base MSRP ($52,900) in Canada.

That's not that bad.

Price came from dealer in Toronto area, they had the same info/paperwork as was scanned and post in this thread so I have no reason not to believe it.

Remember we're in Canada though where we get screwed with higher car prices than the US even(though our dollar is fairly close these days).

And actually when I looked at my notes it was $59.9k so we might was well call it 60!

And I was told 6MT is standard at least in Canada

If I have all this stuff already installed (aside from the DCT) can I just put the s after the 335i? Or would that be tacky?

Yeah but for those of us that lease the M3's 46% residual and 8.9% lease rate makes it about $600/mnth more than a comparably equipped 335 at 50% residual and 4.9%

hmm... do you think they don't want a flogged and beaten M3 back on a lease return lol.

I paid $4000 for an extra 10HP and 8 ft./lb of torque back in 2005 for a 330i Performance Package. (It came with a lot of other stuff, as well.)

It's 22 factory HP, which would mean something to me. It won't be a bogus claim and it'll be factory-warrantied. As mentioned, the package is more than just horsepower, too.

I spoke with a BMW rep this afternoon and he could only really speculate on pricing for the 335iS.

It was noted that the performance package (ZHP) on the E46 chassis wasn't far off of the cost of an E46 M3 (base wise) and thus provided a good indication for a price point.

I'm expecting the 335iS with Nav, Premium, etc to be close to 56k+

Some other random things that threw me off were regarding the aero and the availability of an L.S.D.

According to the rep, the ///m aero package may be an option...which confused me; I thought the aero we've seen would be factory...if not, what would be?

An L.S.D. is being discussed, but again, the head of ///M is heavily against its release, for obvious reasons.

With all that said, we're really no better off than before; just thought I'd pass any info along though.

Unpainted mirrors????

Interesting tailights, but I really like the indirect LED tailights of the current model. DIrect LED lighting tails are already done on honda, infinity, etc.

LSD?

nice rear bumper though

I'm at a loss here. Are all 2011 335s going to be "335is" models?

I just called my dealer to order a 2010 and he told me they aren't building 2010s, and that I can wait until mid-February to order a 2011 335i.

That's not that bad for a Canadian price, I agree...

Fortunately, Canadians are not getting as scr*wed as we used to be, on some models at least. Our 335i now comes with much more standard equipment than the base 335i coupe in the States, reducing the price difference to effectively a few thousand Can...

Unfortunately, when doing the same exercise with a M3 (comparing prices with the same equipment), the difference still seems to be quite large...

I'm so confused...
first theres the possibility of a manual
then someone shot it down saying "NO 6MT... PERIOD... end of discussion... "
THEN someone says their dealer told them 6MT would be standard
WTF BMW!!
stop playing with my heart! lol
we need confirmation so I can be totally ecstatic and blow another hole in my wallet and order one, or be totally ecstatic that I don't need to buy one

Front headlights are still ugly.

Car sounds like a big marketing plan from BMW. No fogs for the coupe, and fogs for the convertible?? Completely contradictory. If anything the E93 needs the "additional cooling" more due to its additional weight and long term strain effects. Point being, they could have retained the fogs.

No MT? That's pretty sad since the car is an "iS" model.

Humble opinion of mine? Pre-LCI E92 is evident of a classic timeless design.. I'm not too worried. BMW did it right.

Was asking earlier as you have pretty much everything the IS has, what was your total cost for all mods roughly? Trying to see what the difference would be of modding my current 07 335is with most of these parts vs buying an IS

The no-fog-lights-for-the-coupe could be a cost saving thing, to help offset some of the extras without making the price too high. That leaves convertible buyers the only ones to pay the high price.

The no MT thing could be for the launch control.

I agree that the the fog lights is cost cutting. If they are deleted for cooling, it makes no sense that the convertible has them and the coupe does not. Aren't we supposed to see the official news on these models today? Hope it comes soon!
