LAMIN-X rear light tint on e92 UPDATE

Righto as some of you were interested to hear about the LAMIN-X rear light tint I mentioned in another thread I thought I would post an update.

The kit took for ever to arrive.

The tint is quite thick and durable, the inner lights fitted without any issue's but the outer covers are still not on.

due to the shape of the lights I couldn't get the film to sit flush, I heated the covers up with a hair drier to make them ultra pliable but still no joy.

In the end I gave up to try another day. I'm hoping to give them another crack at the weekend.

On the plus side the inner lights look great with the tint on so I am hoping I can the the film soft enough for a perfect fit!

I'll let you know how I get on.

Good stuff. I had a horrid feeling that it would be difficult to apply to the curved outer lights without creasing or bubbling. Good luck.

Any further updates on fitting of your tint film. Just ordered some myself. How well does the light come through with the film on?

Carl, have a look at the pics in my garage or my recent post on update of mods on my car. I have put red Lamin X tint film on my white reversing lamp on the rear lights.

On mine yes, but you can buy Smoked, Blue, Red or yellow film to cover front or rear lights to give them a colour of your choice.

I think MB was trying to smoke his rear lights.
