Alloy Wheels stick to rusted hubs
Just rotated my 156 alloy wheels with BS EL42s and noticed rust on the center hubs. Had to beat off two wheels.
I cleaned up the rusted hubs with a scratch brush. I considered applying a thin coat of wheel bearing grease on the steel hubs to inhibit further rusting but decided I was not sure what the grease would do to the alloy wheels. Has anyone used any grease ( silicone, wheel bearing, or??) or any other product to coat the steels hubs? Thanks Wallyf Silver 325xi |

You can use rust repelling agents. I think there is a DIY on wheel hub rust cleaning or something....here it is....
