good shop to take car in to install coilovers?

I live in Portland, and am wondering if anyone recommends any certain shop to do a coilover install? Possibly install DP's!

Thanks!

call Hillside Imports. They do only VW/Audi/Mini, but I have had a BMW lowered there once before. It's worth a call.

503 owner has an m6 if I'm not mistaken, pretty dirty ride. Rasmussen can most likely do it and keep trying 503, I'm sure they can. Let me know the price, I'm looking to drop mine too.

This is why I said that; I’m guessing it’s a company car…

Still no call back from 503, wouldn't give them my business unless they offered a super deal. Bad customer service!

thats interesting. they'll lose business quick through word of mouth like that. I had a pretty good experience when I got my e90 tinted. They dropped me off at work and did a really good job.

Called 503motoring again today, and talked to Tim, and told him I never got a call back and he said sorry, and then I told him what car and that I had pss9's to install, and he was like "oh ya, since you are not buying the product from us, we cannot warranty it so we cannot install it" I guess since they were not going to be working on my car they did not feel necessary to call me back! I can understand their policy, as a lot of other shops will not install customers parts, but should have called me back to clarify. Oh well, they have big baller customers like the blazers, I am small potato!

I'm looking to get coilovers installed soon too.

Rasmussen quoted me at about $1000 + $150 for an alignment, sounds pretty high.

Dang guys, for those kind of prices and customer service, I'd say it would be worth it to drive up to Seattle to Group 2 Motorsports. Even if you had to pay for a hotel room for a night, it would still be cheaper....

That is a crazy number. The most expensive one I got quote before for my 330i was about $480 including alignment. If you do not mind coming to Seattle, my buddy that works at local BMW Dealer can do it for you. He does a decent job and cheap price. He is a Tech at local BMW dealer. He usually does the coilovers for $150~250 depend on the cars and alignment usually cost $50~100 for him to do it. I can refeal you to him for an awesome deal. The only problem is he can only do the work on Sunday.

might be worth a drive up north!

Ya, I called Rasmussen too, and got the same quote! Tried a couple other shops, best price I found was $380.00 Might end up going with that, but would still need alignment and corner balance...

Got quoted like 600 and change from Group 2. I ended up installing it myself and letting them do the alignment. THey under estimated the alignment too, so I wont be surprised if they tack on 200 for extra time.

Hey Johnny Lin, I'll actually be up in Seattle next Sunday and wouldn't mind giving your buddy a holler to throw them on. That's a pretty dang good deal to do it all for under $400.

Just sent MRCBR a PM regarding the shop he found in town, if it doesn't work out for whatever reason I wouldn't mind making a trip out of this. Thanks for the lead!
