I think that there are a few points to be made here. So I'll make them!
1. Don't post and boast. My experience of various car and other forums is that nobody reacts well to someone bragging, whether it's about speed, their mad 'ninja driving 'skillz'', the amount of money they earn, or how big their inflatable ego is. 2. The internet is the safest place to exaggerate and I take most claims of excessive speed, amazingly stupid road races and the 'burning off' other motorists in their 'inferior' vehicles with a large pinch of salt. 3. There was a reaction to dxb335d's post. I didn't read the post as it was edited before I viewed the thread. I'm sure that reactions were justified and I certainly never want to encounter someone driving at 160mph on the public road. However, I think people have made a point and that the matter should be laid to rest. Using derogatory terms and insults such as chav, spoilt and twat are not really necessary (and on some forums can lead to a reprimand from mods). Surely we're bigger than this?! The guy is only 23 and with age comes experience. He's very fortunate to have the car, but irrespective of what he earns or is given most of us are old enough to remember how naive and possibly reckless we were at that age. We don't know him, or his family. If his dad gives him a car, lucky sod. It's taken me until 41 to own a 330i! 4. dxb335d - learn from this! Share your experiences of the car and your enthusiasm, but just think before you post to avoid this kind of reaction...and take some of the sound advice offered by experienced drivers and track day enthusiasts. Perhaps we can draw a line on this now guys and cut the guy some slack? Here endeth the lesson...

And maybe go to the ring with Peppernick, as that looks a hoot and you can really use the cars potential on the ring and autobahns

I would imagine getting your dad to agree to letting you have his car whilst you thrash it around the ring could be a tall order!

If only we all had Dad's like that eh! Mine has a Peugeot 306. Good luck to you and be careful with that beauty of a car.
