I have a 2012 135i.
The only complaint I have is the dreaded turbo lag.
How do I find out what ROM I have and will this 98G0B fix the turbo lag, or is that just a required step for a COBB to fix it?

Our maps will build more boost, quicker, in general. You'll need an AP to see what rom you have, so you'll know when you install for the first time, or if you have a friend with an AP, you could have them uninstall and let you try it so that you can see ahead of time.
98G0B was an update from BMW and the overall power delivery isn't all that different in my opinion, but it definitely feels smoother to me. In general, I always encourage customers to get the most recent update from BMW. They wouldn't spend the time to release something for no reason. If there's ever a power decrease from them, our mapping should get you extremely similar power regardless of which rom revision you have.

I was one of the " lucky" ones to have the original rom that had not longer support, waited months to get updated from BMW and they updated it to 98G rom. It feels more stable, not too much lag. The sound sadly decreased. I had to wait for Cobb to release the update but thank to J from Cobb I'm smiling again. Great customer support. ATT Jose Hernandez

I`m a total noob when it comes down to tunes.

does the cobb have the same feature that bmw can`t find out that you are or better were running a tune like the jb4? I have a 2012 135i 6speed.
how fast can you switch maps?

thank you!

Once you uninstall there is no problem. Switching maps on Cobb is not on t fly, but once installed is less than 10 minutes if I remember

I am going to PM you to see if my '12 135 can accept the AP. I had it on my JCW Mini and it was awesome.

We can support some early 2012 N55's. It depends on the build date. BMW switched to a new DME in the middle of 2012 that we don't support yet, but we can handle the older DME. If you have a question about support, I can tell you with the last 7 of your VIN.

Block23232, if you're able to get the Cobb on your DME I'd be very curious to hear your thoughts on it compared to the PPK1.

Question for Cobb Engineers...

What is the target boost for Stage 1 Drive ST map?

I read that target for Stage 1 Sport ST map was 11ish...I'm consistently seeing 13psi on Stage 1 Drive ST...is that normal?

I would think that Drive would be less or at least same as Sport since Drive is suppose to be less aggressive??

This was 3rd gear pull btw

Thank you

I have spoken to local Tubo shops about our mitsi turbos in the N54.. they have advised 16psi is fine..

Any indication when a December 2012 build N55 will be catered for? (Car had PPK2 installed 2 months ago). Wouldn't mind the ability to custom tune in future.

Going back to Dealer

Sup Guys!

I Was on Stage1 sport and i now have a Syclinder 2 missfire code so it can be Injector or coil or spark, car is still under CPO,

i just wanted to make sure that if i go back to Map 0 , i should be back on my original map (PPK) and the dealer won't detect the tune, am i right??

is this the Proper process or should i just Uninstal it ?

Thanks
