i was curious is it mandatory to change the brake lines when changing brake pads and rotors and any recomendations if centric is good?

You may change the OEM crappy "rubber hose" brake line with fancy exotic braided stainless steel ones if you are really anal about it, you will eliminate the "mushiness" feeling. But then you got to completely evacuate and bleed the hydraulic lines. Rotors on BMW are very easy to change, I guess they were designed with interchangeability in mind for those who track. My rotors are not scoured so I have not changed yet.
