When you take driveline losses into account, that gives you about 280kW at the flywheel. Not bad actually. Good luck finding a chip that gives you more!

Did you give it a run without the chip to see what improvement you recieved from the PROceed?

Were there any correction factors applied?

My PROceed shipped today so interested to see what improvement you got.

Thanks,

S

unfortunately i didn't dyno it before hand, but i'd definately recommend doing that. i went to Tunehouse in Marrickville, really clean workshop, thought it was new but it was 6 years old!! http://www.tunehouse.com.au/

Its just a dyno number, if you want comparable results take it to a drag strip before and after and get the ET.

...or dynos perhaps.

Once PROcede version 2 arrives next month, it will clearly be in front of any other chip in horsepower.

As I found out today, the PROcede makes the 335i a WRX/EVO killer.

Cheers.

The 335i without PROcede or anything has always been a WRX/EVO killer on a track without many corners, however if it's a windy circuit the WRX/EVO's come into their own and will eat pretty much anything for breakfast.

The PROcede makes it alot easier to catch up on the straight bits.

The great advantage of the WRX/EVO is their all-wheel-drive. They could get a jump on me on the tight left hander going on to the straight. It made catching up and passing them so much harder with my slower entry speed.

Cheers.

Chiptorque basically use the older XEDE unit and based on results on the US E90post Forums, it produces slightly less power than the Procede with 1.47 software. Once v.2.0 software is released XEDE won't be able to touch Procede.

There's a group of us going down tonight, although I don't imagine it'll be a repeat next week with commitments etc.

You should be able to run a really good mph in this weather!

I don't think it's sad, each car has it's own feature.
Like some of the cup category racing in australia, where you get E46 M3's, EVO's and some HSV GTO's, on the tracks with lots of long straights the HSV's won, tracks with lots of tight corners the EVO's ate everyone for breakfast, everything in between was owned by the M3. Which is why it's the benchmark, and the current 335i is probably nearly every bit as good as the outgoing M3.

yeh they are both good in their own way... the e46 m3 is an m car, so it will always be special, but the 335 is the new car, and goes well with alot of potential... looking forward to the new m3!

The track is in average condition so be prepared for it. My car was still turning the wheels over after the shift into fourth on the first pass. Which I just watched back on the video. Was scary with the back end stepping out quite a bit in 3rd in one of the passes.

It got better as the night progressed but don't expect to run an awesome ET if its simular to this week, everyone I knew was running about .3ths slower in the 60'ft.

Best pass of the night was a 13.0 at 116 mph, over half a second slower than my PB of 12.3 and a mate's 996TT ran a 12.5 at 114 mph as well also well of his PB. We left early as the conditions weren't great.

But we had a blast and I'm sure you'll have a great time! Good luck with it
