Eric just so ya know I tried to put the dme cover back on for the trip just incase its raining and the damn thing is broke ! its on as good as I could get it . all the parts and pieces they gave me are now in zip lock bags and or boxed up and wrapped parts in paper as to not f up the interior . this sounds worse than it is most of the parts were stock parts that were removed from the car when installing aftermarket stuff. sorry no luck on the cowl buddy...had the car been here longer I would have fixed some of the stupid s@#$ that's not done correctly . also noticed today r/f wheel well cover missing . wish I had more time but I have been very busy on top of trying to look through it and see what's not there . I will continue to try and see if there is any other parts we can get from hpf but I have a feeling they are gone .... good thing it doesn't seem like anything major .

good luck buddy !! and happy to have been able to help out .
Thanks again Carl! It does sound bad, and like i said the Cowl was brand new too, I just replaced it... I think it was 300 or more I don’t remember.

Carl and Ken, let me know what I can do for you guys as thanks for helping me… I could NOT have done any of this without you. Glad I’m moving on and looking to end this saga.

Good news on the pick though, that’s fast! Thank god. I’m ready for a professional shop who knows the 335i and N54 inside and out to get her back to standard! I’m sure its missing bolts and screws and many other pieces... My car is so jacked up right now.

Shiv, thanks for taking on my project and helping me restore my car to health man.

Looking forward to seeing your car and getting it in working order. And like you said, big thanks to Ken and Carl for all their help. This couldn't have happened without them

I also want to thank everyone who contributed with donations to help me get this sorted out. I’ve been able to raise just under $1,300 because of all of YOU!!! You guys also made this happen for me. That will cover my trip down to Vishnu and part of the trip home. I just pray the damage is minimal on Shiv’s end. Either way I’m getting the heavy end of the hammer but with your help, you have all made it possible to stay above water!

I'm looking forward to seeing your car running soon. I wasn't able to flash your transmission, so once you get things sorted, give me a call if you need help. Good luck Eric.

Why would not it not flash? I’m not even surprised.

That's great news man. When you let HPF take your car for years, it was going to be for something that would hopefully advance the community. For them to take so much time, money, and put you through so much drama and hassle was very unfortunate. I'm glad the community was able to get together and help you get sorted!

Sorry Eric, just didn't have time. HPF was to call me when the car was ready, but that never happened, so once things get sorted out with your car I can help make sure it gets flashed.

There are couple of threads over on e46fanatics forum forced induction section with contact info for customers in your situation. Some people are getting stuff shipped, still sounds like a mess over there. Boxes full of parts/orders lying around with no labels or customer info.

Well the initial inspection from FFTEC went well.... lol... Right.

My car is a total mess and essentially everything HPF did is damaged, unusable or causing more harm than good. i have to start from square one and I will need to take out a loan just to get my car back in running order.

If i sent you guys the Inspection Invoice you would loose you mind as too how much stuff is fucked up on my car as a result. Everything is either installed backwards, wrong or damaged... Um, the O2 sensors and waste gate lines are backwards... I wonder why it wont run? lol. Turbo is also damaged due to poor mounting and installation.

I'm sorry to hear that buddy... I think it was worth taking the car to FFTEC to inspect.

If It happened to me, I would sell the car and get out of it. unless FFTEC is willing to help you out and do it at cost I think it's a money sink

I can;t believe HPF were that irresponsible with your car especially. Makes me sick.

what's you plan?

The turbo kit currently on the car is no good, a poor design and will never work. If HPF had never put a ceramic coating on it, FFTEC could have repaired it and made the adjustments. But now its a loss.

Even going back to stock is going to cost me a shit ton given the laundry list of additional faults on the car. Right now im working with FFTEC to go over my very slim options.

Ill sell my car to the first one who shows me 25,000 lol.

Any one want a one of a kind HPF Turbo Manifold? 5,000...

Sorry, Im trying to stay motivated.

Stay positive tho, you have come this far and deserve to get a working single turbo one way or another, would be cool if FFTEC could hook you up with sponsorship. Your car is in good hands, keep us posted.

Was the manifold or turbo cermic coated? If mani, can't they just grit blast it and then do any necessary welding?

I took a close look at the car today and went over the list of issues FFTEC found during the inspection. It's pretty bad. Manifold runners are hitting the valve cover, oil leaks everywhere, leaking brake line, missing turbo bolts, etc,. Unfortunately, the problems aren't just related to tuning. How this car was ever on the dyno is beyond me. We haven't even started the car yet. It's really disappointing that the car was built the way it was built
