Wow wtf lol...how many miles 100k???

After the clean I would reset adaption values and give the car a chance to relearn with the cleaned valves. She'll run like a beast!!

Man, mine just pass 52K. That makes me nervous, how hard is it to check the valves?

It actually isn't that hard A&L/IND is where my car is at right now. You should def do this tho. I've seen build up on cars with 20-30k that look as bad

This worries my. I need to do this asap. Just rolled over 82k and to my knowledge the PO had not had it done, and I haven't had a chance to yet..

Does it really make a difference cleaning the valves? Does the engine run smoother? Do you feel it?

Or is it for having a clear conscience?

Yeah I was shocked at first but it's normal for the mileage.

I just can't wait to get it back on the road after this cleaning and new (oem) turbos!

What and how many mods do you have? How do you drive your car?
How long has it been modded?

You'll likely solve idle issues, hiccups in mid-high rev range on gear change and cleaner boost curve all across I would say.

Just think of it as a semi- port/polish job. It'll be a nice difference and better mileage by 10% when they are that bad!

Is there anyway you can get this covered under CPO? If you make a case for bogging down at higher RPMs or something like that...my car has 52K on it and I don't feel it's nearly as fast as it should. A little bit of stumbling during idle and it has new plugs...
I also get a boost leak code under high load so I've been meaning to call the dealer and see if there is anything they can do.

Any things possible. Some stealerships offer a chemical clean which doesn't do jack. Like a chevron with techron with a BMW logo on it lol. I think I've heard of someone that got it covered tho. Just keep taking it in keep complaining if they can't fix the problem open a puma case with BMW. That'll get you anything

Usually after about 35-40K the valves are gunked up enough where it's worth it for a cleaning. If you have enough symptoms like bad idle and chronic misfires (stock) you may be able to get the dealer to do the work if you are still under warranty. I think MR.5 found about 15WHP on an intake valve cleaning Before and After.

Wow, so how do they clean it? Do they have to remove the head completely from the block?

It only requires removal of the intake manifold. The valves are on top of the head.
