Are yours flared out towards the back of the car? Do you have any closer pics of the back section of the side splitters?

Yep. Since I get asked a lot if you look closely you can see what I did to the grills. I just removed the outer trim of the grills and only installed the fin section.
Also, I previously said the side splitters weren't really noticeable with my skirts, but as I walked back to my car tonight I could clearly see them and they looked great.

Do I need to be there for him to measure and set up mines? Or is it my responsibility to measure? I want a custom splitter made for my e92 aero front lip.

he already has few of style splitter for e92 but if you want your own custom splitter you could arrange the time with him and stop by for measurement.

I am getting 1 custom made for my e92 with Aero Lip. Placed the order this morning after texting back and forth with Ray for about 3 hours a couple days ago. He is a really cool guy and showed great customer service and patience through all my questions and concerns. As soon as I get it I will upload pics and a review. So far so good.

I got mines like a week after my last post in here. The work looks great and the turn around time was incredible, especially for a custom splitter. I had him make 1 to my specifications for my Aero front lip. I will hopefully be installing it this Sunday as my previous off days have been pretty hectic. As soon as I get it on I will post pics.

Ok guys... so I FINALLY got a chance to install this thing today... I was supposed to do it yesterday but I needed 2x4s to lift my front end, I needed a new jack because mines is shot and my Dumbass forgot to charge my power drill. Anywho, after getting all materials I needed I got to work. Total job took about 2 hours but that's because I also had to rewire 1 of my HID fog kit ballasts as I was getting a shortage and error code.
Ray told me I would have to remove the front bumper to predrill the holes since "no 2 bumpers are exactly alike". But because I was bolting this to an Aero Lip I just pulled that off instead and used those holes for mines. I used 3M double sided molding tape with the RED wrapping. The 3M with the green wrapping is too thick and not strong enough. So I lined it up how I wanted it, stood on the area where the tape was for about 10 minutes to let it bond then drilled my holes. After that I put the aero lip back on and everything lined up perfectly. My only issue was my drill bit was too small so it made it a much tighter fit for the screws Ray sent with the splitter. Since I already had the fender liner open I just added the nuts/bolts to the screws from there. For this reason along with the need to drill holes for perfect fitment, those of you doing this yourself may want to remove your front bumper and do it that way... otherwise it's going to be a Bitch lining everything up and getting it bolted on. 1st image is the splitter. Pretty good material, metal plate underneath to reinforce it, painted matte black for like 4 inches on the outer border that will be seen. 2nd image is test fitting Aero. 3rd image is actually on the car. Remember he made this specifically to my request to follow the lines of the Aero lip just via a text convo. The guy is pretty damn awesome. 2nd collage is a few more pics for fitment and I also added my JDM tow hook. FYI the jack is still there so the 3M tape can cure. |
