trim removal

hey,

i am getting my trim wrapped in cf (yes i know it's a bit cliche, but fu all ).

iv been quoted £275inc vat to wrap the full trim which is fine.. but iv been quoted 4 hours labour to remove it! (~£220 from an indi bmw)

this seems a little ott..

does anyone know how difficult it is to remove the entire trim? obviously i don't want to go around snapping anything.. but 4 hours does sound a little crazy.

any thoughts?

could do better to buy a trim from fleabay at that price!

Are you taking about interior trim?

If so I have a few pieces for an E92 you can have dirt cheap rather than using your own?

I think I've got all parts except dash

4 hours is a piss take! Its really not difficult at all! They all just pop off, don't be afraid to give them some stick they're very strong!!

you asked how easy it was to remove the trim - there is a very detailed DIY on how to do it and it will give you an idea if you want to pay someone 4 hrs labour, or of you can do the job yourself. I wasn't being harsh, just in a rush and pointed you in the right direction, that with a quick search is easy to find!

Only you know if £500 is an acceptable price to pay to get your trim wrapped and fitted!

I would get the material and a spare set of trim and do it yourself, many have done it with great results.
