Misfires only when it's really cold out.
I started having this issue last week, the car misfires under light load and has somewhat of a rough idle but only when it's freezing out...
When it's warmed up the car run's fine. It's been tuned for about 10K, I have new plugs just haven't put the in yet, it's been way too cold out.

Put the new plugs in
 In all seriousness we are just guessing here. Plugs would be my first guess but since you have a 2008 it can be injectors, clogged intake valves, coilpacks... the list goes on. Start with the simple stuff. If you have a misfire on one cylinder swap a coil pack and see if it moves. If you have misfires on multiple cylinders then its likely the plugs. Especially if they have over 25K miles on them. If the problem persist after the plugs then you need to dig a bit deeper and look into the condition of the plugs and the coilpacks. If the plugs are fouled with fuel it usually leads to an indication of leaky injector. If you have over 35K miles you are likely due for some maintenance on cleaning your intake valves too. |
