what price did you get over ED Invoice? I've heard people on some boards claiming to get $500 and $1000 over invoice. That's awesome... I'll get $500 back through the BMW CCA but that's not related to the deal I got from Ziggy.

Ziv: You should list your ride and location. This makes the board interesting. Thanks.

yeah i got $1200 above invoice as well. and im having my car delivered in Spartanberg, SC after my ED trip. So after lots of driving in Europe i get to do the day of driving on the track. $1200 above seems to be pretty good.

The best source for anything and everything about European Delivery is at
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25

I just did one for a 545i back in March and am slated to go again in October for a E90 330i.

The only drawback in doing Euro Delivery is the wait for your car to get back to the US after you have driven it around Germany.

For the east coast, its about 1 month. For the West Coast, its 6-8 weeks.

LOL - that seems to be the general concensus. Although I don't like Jersey, Wallenius is right down the street next to BMWNA. Maybe I can get a rush put on it. Or just go down to Jersey City and snag yours off the boat for you. Assuming it's coming here and not Charleston or wherever.

Agreed the wait is painful, especially after driving it on the Autobahn. However all things considered it is a great deal.

Not true. It has recommended speed limits in less travelled areas, but there are speed limits. Common American misconception.

For those doing Euro Delivery, listen to radio for 'stau' locations and don't miss the 'blitz report.' Wouldnt want the nice little camera to take your picture and you get the ticket in the mail once you got home.

Yep - photo radar is all over - ESPECIALLY Switzerland! The Swiss, after all, excel at taking your money! You will see very few "unlimited' speed sections of the autobahn. Sunday morning is still the prime speeding time, but watch for construction, weather and traffic 'limits'. Unlike the US, there is a reason for most speed limits in Germany, but don't ignore the warnings!

Hello. Could you please tell me what dealer you used for your ED? Since you're picking up your car in Spartanburg, I'm hoping you used a dealer in the Southeast. I'm located in Charlotte. Thanks.

Yeah I used Performance BMW in Chapel Hill, NC. I worked with John Boa and he was a really good guy. I got a Jet Black 330i, Black Leatherette, Sports Package, Heated Seats, and Sat Prep for $36,125 out the door including all taxes and fees. And it was ED. I actually did everything over the phone/fax/email.

Does anyone know if you can do a 325i for Euro Delivery? I've looked online, and it seems that only the 330i is offered for ED (only talking about the e90 here).

I would appreciate other people's feedback on this. Thanks.

Here is the link on the bmwusa site that lists the discounts. 325 is available.

Hey, thanks very much. You know it was after going to that page, that I thought the 325i was NOT available because I guess I must have skipped over it or something (unless they changed that page in the last few days). But, after looking at in again, the 325i is infact on there for ED.

Sorry for my carelessness.

ED is available to Canadian customers. However, it is not a "turn-key" operation like it is in the US. I have been trying to find out what I can from BMW Canada but all I have received from them is a reply saying that "ED is available, please contact your local dealer for details".

I emailed a couple of dealerships out in Toronto and Vancouver (bigger market, more likely to know about ED, I thought) but none have responded. . The dealership here in Calgary indicated that the buyer will have to deal with the paperwork/taxes/fees associated with importing the vehicle into Canada. They are just not set up for ED. Maybe BMW thinks the Canadian market is so small that ED would just cannibalize their existing market share. I am not even sure if financing is available to Canadian buyers interested in ED. Have to ask them this Friday when the cars a "officially" here.

The sales guy did mention that Ed is very successful in the US market with something like 15% ED uptake. Don't know how accurate this is though...

wei, because the car they sell you through ED isn't out of that particular dealer's allocation of cars... so they can give you a better price than if you bought directly out of their allocated stock of e90's.
