Austin Texas Coding

Well before I go buy a netbook to try and learn myself I thought I would put it out there. I am looking for some lighting adjustments and most importantly I need someone to flash the Alpina transmission tune for me. I have the files I just need a PC to handle the coding. Will provide cash, booze, you name it.

I code for free around here, but I don't do software updates/reflashes. I can definitely help you get your machine set up if you run into issues, but the DIY is pretty straightforward. Only notes I'd add to it are that if you use a USB cable (the DIY was written with an OBD to serial cable), make sure you set it to COM1 and then go into the driver properties > Advanced and set the Latency to 1 rather than 16.

Thanks for the offer! Could we meet up just for the AE and amber lights?

I would also appreciate a hand in setting things up. I will have to run a VM or bootcamp as I sold off all of my PC's.

You coded some things for me a while back. I'm not sure how I used to drive without the digital speedometer esp since where I like positioning my steering wheel it also happens to block half my speedometer. I also use the mirror fold-in on a daily basis. Anyways thanks again man! Very nice of you.

Well the biggest thing I wanted out of this was the Alpina flash so I caved. Dug out an old copy of XP and did a bootcamp install. I just finished setting up Winkfp and have all the daten files. Once the cable gets here I will test this out and then go from there.

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the coding. Threethirtyfive, sorry I wasn't able to help on that Alpina transmission flash, but glad you got it done on your own.

I can handle the Alpina flash but that is all I am playing with in that realm. Haven't been able to meet up with anyone yet but I will hopefully this weekend or next.

So a bump here - does anyone have a cable I can borrow? I'm never going to use the thing again, and I'd really like to get my Alpina flash done this weekend..

I'd love to have this done too, but don't have a cable unfortunately.
