Chip tuning with spare set of ECU
thinking about chipping my 328i sulev, but I really dont want to avoid the warranty since i still got 3 years left.
If I get a spare ecu chipped and swap the original back when i go dealer for service, will dealer tech be able to tell that I was running chipped software? also any one know which ecu is compatible? 330i? will type of tranny matter? I got manual tran. |

You're looking at an insane amount of headache coding the ECU to your vin and options to even begin to get it to function in your car. Unfortunately it's not like a Honda where you can just swap them.
Just flash to stock/uninstall the piggy back for dealer visits. There's helluv threads on here about which tune to go with They all have one method or another for removal for dealer trips. |
