Chip tuning with spare set of ECU

thinking about chipping my 328i sulev, but I really dont want to avoid the warranty since i still got 3 years left.

If I get a spare ecu chipped and swap the original back when i go dealer for service, will dealer tech be able to tell that I was running chipped software?

also any one know which ecu is compatible? 330i? will type of tranny matter? I got manual tran.

You're looking at an insane amount of headache coding the ECU to your vin and options to even begin to get it to function in your car. Unfortunately it's not like a Honda where you can just swap them.

Just flash to stock/uninstall the piggy back for dealer visits.

There's helluv threads on here about which tune to go with

They all have one method or another for removal for dealer trips.
