Sport Rims or M6 Reps?

Just ordered a 335 coupe, they will be coming with the sport rims, should I keep them or put on the m6 reps?

Get the M5 reps, not a fan of the M6's for some reason. Or just stay stock, will still look great.

I've always felt the "M" items should stay on the M cars, just my opinion. I asked my buddy the other day, who drives a Mustang GT, if he would put Cobra parts on it. He said, "No way, it's not a cobra, i'd look like a poser!" I mean, to each their own, but it's not even a 3-series wheel?

exactly, but m-tech items that are not used on the actual M cars but are made for the non M cars such as shift knobs with M logo, sport wheels with M logo, and other M tech items are ok.......just as long as its not actual stuff thats on M's

I don't like the M6 reps that much because they are not nearly as concave as the real thing. This makes them not too right to me.

I personally like the OEM stock rims over the M6 reps. Plus, it's not a big enough difference in look to warrant the change.

You decide (first pic is my current setup with Morr monoforged VS7s, but 2nd and 3rd pics are with oem 18" stock wheels and 19" M6 Reps) ...

For a 335i coupe, I would probably go with the M6 reps. I don't know why, but I haven't been a fan of the sport package wheels on the 335i coupe. I actually think the 328i coupe sport package wheels look better.

I like the M6 reps and put them on my car. I think they look amazing. Whatever you decide, the right wheel and tire setup will drop several 10's of pounds off the stock setup. Just ask sflgator.

Also for the budget minded a set of m6 reps with general exclaim UHP's is a steal!!!! I went with the good years, but will probably go with the general tires next time.

look... i've always LOVED CSL reps. so i got them the 2nd day i got my car.
after i did, i instantly regretted that choice. the wheels look great BUT they're not as concave as the real thing, and hence they dont look nearly as good.

if you get M6 reps they're going to look really flat compared to OEM M6 wheels. just giving you heads up.

Aren't the coupes coming with the 19inch 230s for $1000? I'd say grab those!!! Sport package ($1100) + 19inch wheels and tires ($1000) = $2100...doesn't seem like a tough decision! =)

I take it you're asking me and not Moneymike (b/c I didn't see any pics from him in his post), so the answer to your question is No, not CSL Reps per say...they are the 20lb. 19" Morr monoforged VS7s; very CSL-looking though.

And, these are VERY concave and very light wheels (20lbs./wheel vs. ~ 29-30lbs./wheel for the 18" oem sport wheels; the 19" M6 Reps are 25lbs./wheel which is still a decent weight reduction from the oem sport wheels)...

The Monoforged are interesting looking, but I don't like them too much. They are too straight cut, no curves to them. I like something that is a bit more dynamic, especially if I was paying those prices for them.

Let me know if you want M6 wheels, or our CSL wheels. They are very affordable, and great wheels that money can buy.

Let me know if you are interested or if you have any other questions, IE need pictures or anything.

thanks.

Don, I loved my M6 Reps (that I bought from you); I think they're very aggressive looking on either the E92 or E90, very affordable, lighter-than-stock, decent quality 19" wheels. However, with that said, these monoforged wheels by Morr (and some other forged wheels for that matter) are the "cat's meow."

There are very valid reasons why they cost more...you get what you pay for; they weigh 20lbs./wheel, they're monoforged aluminum, they're super strong (much stronger than the cast wheels), and they're excellent quality. After putting on these Morr VS7 wheels, my car feels more solid and lighter on it's feet; yes, I reduced my unsprung weight with the 19" M6 Reps (from the 18" oem stock wheels) by ~ 5 lbs./wheel, but then with the Morr VS7s, I just further reduced my unsprung weight by another 5 lbs./wheel!

If anyone asked me about the M6 Reps, I would definitely recommend them and suggest ordering them from you @ ModBqargains, but if they can spend more $$ on forged wheels, I would have to recommend the forged wheels (depending on the mfgr of course).

btw -- I know you mentioned that you thought the Morr VS7s don't have enough "curves" on them (well, yes, they are a bit "straight cut") but they are so concave, it really doesn't matter...these things just curve inward big time...they look phenomenal, imho!
