code out "brake" light?
Any way to get rid of the brake pad warning light? My sensors are cooked and I change pads often for track days.
Thanks#

Unplug the sensor itself from the little housing in the wheel well. It'll never complete the circuit, thus never illuminating the warning light

Also, I dont "think" there's a way to code out any of the maintenance minders. But if you're handy with a laptop and have 20 bucks to spare on a D-can cable, you can stay on top of those pesky lights, since I'm assuming you must rack up some mileage the way you go thru brakes

If I only drove the car on the street, I would easily get 50-70,000 miles out of a set of pads- the brakes in these cars are very good for a street driven car. But since I do swap pads for HPDEs, I am swapping pads several times every year. Getting rid of this annoyance would be great. I hate seeing an idiot light on the dash, when I know there is nothing wrong with my car.

I'm still in my infancy with coding myself. I can do all the basics, but I've gotta wait until I get my truck roadworthy before I start playing with stuff that could brick my car.
What kind of pad/rotor setup are you using? I would strongly suggest switching to a race formulated pad and slotted rotors, since the oem ones are more biased towards comfort and low brake dust. |

Or cut the wires and just connect them together. Idiot proof lights off.
