tranny slamming into 5 gear
recently my tranny has starting to act up. has a problem switching into fifth gear. when i shift into fifth gear during moderate acceleration it feels like my car was hit from the back. a few times the yellow gear with "!" in the middle has popped up. i changed the pan n fluid problem seems to be getting worse. anyone else ever deal with this? i hope the tranny not on its way out.

I'm assuming you have a 6AT? Any mods installed? The Yellow Cog is never a good sign

go to the dealer have the tranny computer reset and see if it relearns correctly
Chances are its just like the Transfer case and the clutches adjust to the wear of the oil. |

If you're under CPO: Remove your mods & have the dealer run a diagnostic. Even better, if you can try to have a tech ride in the car & experience 1st hand the shifty 5th gear change. Hopefully once they identify what's wrong, they'll fix it with no major costs to you.
If you're out of Warranty: Try to find someone with a BAV Tech/INPA scanner check for Trans related fault codes. Hopefully the 5th gear isn't torn to shit (no idea how, would expect 1st/2nd to be beaten up, not 5th) and it's a simple fix GL OP |

Check if its leaking ATF through the sealing sleeve or the pan. I was having issues with my tranny and it was because it lost some ATF.. I reset the adaptations and changed the fluid, pan and sleeve, now its runing good again.
