I used to be like that too, worrying about stacking too many miles on my car. But then I got over it and realized that you only live once and you bought it to drive it, so enjoy it.

Daily driver now since I sold my E46. Miss that car. Commute to work is 3 miles from my GF house and 18 miles from mine, one way. Not so bad, still putting an average of 1000 miles a month. But that's part of the fun.

Considering it's my only car, yes. And I'm in the camp with people who believe a car is meant to be driven.

I hear your pain; I purchased "Black Sunshine" my 2009 335i (M Sport, 6MT, CPO, et al) with just a skosh over 21,00 miles in late May. It is now early July and my car has 32,000 miles on it. Not only do I commute 80 miles a day, but I have taken several road trips. The end result is I'm putting 5,000 miles a month on my car, just purchased new tires to the tune of $1100 and at this rate will buy new tires every 6 months. I love to drive this baby, but something's got to give. I recently stopped volunteering for every errand the wife can think of so perhaps that will help.

I use it for my daily car. If you can afford the maintinence to drive it all the time then why not. If it becomes a strain, then there are a ton of cheaper options for commuter cars. I do plan on paying off the BMW in a couple years, and then leasing a second daily car so I'll keep the maintinence down over time.

My last car was a garage queen and I regret it. So I sold both my vehicles and drive my 335i everywhere. I dont want to have all these mods done to it and not enjoy it everyday.

I drive a December 2006 320d Touring "Wagon" She now has 151,000 Km on the clock and yes she is my daily driver. I travel all over Switzerland for work and drive to the UK 2 or 3 times a year, I could fly but the trip is awesome and is only 1300 Km.

Minimal problems, injectors and a turbo but covered under waranty, no other problems. Here are a few pics of me and my Girl up in the Swiss Alps 2 weeks ago.

I drive 100 miles and 2 hours each day. Why would I want to do that in a commuter car? 2 hours spent in the Ultimate Driving Machine is the highlight of my work day.

I bought this car because I love the way it drives, not because of how it looks sitting in my garage.

Bought my 335 and felt bad about driving it 80-120 miles a day. So I bought a used 04 mazda rx8. I drove it for about a month, and then I got bored of it. It's been standing in my garage for the last 3 months. I let my little bro take it out whenever he goes somewhere. My little brother drives that car more than I do.

I've put 16k+ on my e92 since I bought it 8 months ago. At first I was like holy crap that's alot of miles and felt bad. But I bought this car with the intention of literally driving it until the wheels fall off and hoping it will get me through residency (I'll be finishing that approximately 12 years from now) so I've accepted it & learned to enjoy every minute of unleashing this beast on the streets. I used to put a lot of miles on my GSXR600 in the summer but it's gotten to the point where I'd rather drive my e92!

Whats the reason why you bought a car? To leave it at home sitting in the garage looking pretty?

I can't understand why people are very concern about the mileage of the car, there is a reason why you get a car.

A 3 series is a commuter car and not an exotic car. Even though some people may think it, just because its a BMW lol.
