Dealer Prep/Detailing or DIY
Took delivery on 9/2 at 6:30 PM and there was no time for a true detailing from the dealer. I'm debating whether its best to do this myself (clay bar, hand wash and wax, etc.) or trust the dealer.
There is some overspray on the rockers so clay bar is necessary. Also, its finally a pleasure to have wheels that can be easily cleaned.

Any dealer I have experienced will do more damage than good with their so called detailing unless they outsource it to a decent detail shop. Typically they just have some kid swirl up the paint for you with dirty rags and hand it over - I would definitely do it myself and when my car goes into the dealer, I always take it in clean and request no wash.

You're better off doing it yourself if you know how or taking the money you would have spent at the dealer and paying a real professional detailer to work on your car. When it comes to quality detailing it's definitely true when people say "you get what you pay for".
