That's been up on autotrader for well over a month so either there is something wrong or no-one is buying M3's quite a few have sold over the last couple of months so that's not the case, I was looking before i bought my 335i so maybe you'll be able to make them a stupid offer and get it. Dealers at the moment in high end cars are taking losses just to generate some cash flow myself and a couple of friends have gotten some absolute bargains in the last 2 months purely because we where in a position to buy there and then. Look it over then walk in with cash you maybe surprised what you get it for my bet it 30k

Yeh, i saw this one ages ago when i first started the search for an M3. I thought it may not have sold because of the EDC issue as you dont mention it has EDC in your write up - but looking at the interior shot on the site it shows it does have EDC (middle button next to gear shift). Milage seems ok and providing it has had its running in service stamped on time and with main dealer and bodywork/interior are unmarked then i dont see what the issue is. My only personal problem with it is the awful leather - i hate that siver leather - yuck!!! Its also not got many options ticked - so its pretty basic model. I like all the toys hence why mine is fully loaded!!! Personally i very much doubt a dealer will drop to anywhere near £30k, thats just wishful thinking, regardless how long its been on stock. I spoke to my main dealer today and they just cant get E90/2/3 M3's at the moment as they are all pre-sold (ie approved used, not new) - so the market is turning. Just look on the likes of Pistonheads, there are so few new shape M3's for sale by comparison, certainly very few genuine bargains that there were a few months ago. If you are genuinely interested i would go and see it in person and give it a good look over, check pedigree/history, how many owners and just verify it DOES definitely have EDC - and DONT listen to anyone who tells you its not worth having etc etc - its bollocks - and its imperative in terms of resale - when i was looking all the supposed bargain M3s didnt have EDC and was the main reason they werent selling. Give them a call and go see it!!!! Good luck!!

just been looking on the net and there are still loads of m3 s for sale and 08 for around £36k so I think there are better cars out there than this one , I bought 2 cossies from this outfit both had major issues never ever went back to them again as just got really bad responses from them ,they would not sort them out so sold them on ie traded in , long time ago now but once bitten and all that.

Advert states it has EDC, but other than the 19's does not have a lot else. Seems strange it has not been sold? Doubt you will get it anywhere near £30k, but it does seem a good buy at £35k. Local dealers have got 58 plate E90 M3's with only delivery miles on for less than £40k - They are pre-registered ex BMW cars - Being sold under AUC guidelines but are effectively brand new and undriven (most less than 10 miles on clock), and they have quite a few options fitted as well (EDC, PDC front and rear, Active headlamps, High Beam assist, 19's, etc..)

If you fancy it, go for it!

There may be quite a few for sale but when you read between the lines there are not so many well specced models around for that sort of money - you need to think about resale value and lower spec M3's will be harder to move on - make sure you check what options the cars come with before deciding its a good deal or not - as i said before EDC is a key option and then its down to what toys float your boat.

Interesting...I bought a Golf VR6 from them a while ago and never had any problems. So has my old man. You local to these guys then?

Does EDC really make that much difference?

I'd be more comfortable buying this little beauty from a dealer...

Buying a car at that kind of price; I would strongly recommend a BMW dealer and they might be able to get better finance deals if they are using BMW finance.

I'm not one for dealers and there ways, however this isn't a ford focus your buying... I wouldn't touch an independent for a high end performance car with a very long stick. Hate to say it, however dealer is the way to go. at least you'll get it under the BMW AUC scheme.
